Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, says that Mosley visited the Pacquiao camp and talked about a fight.
"I asked Shane if he could get down to 142, and he said no," Roach said. "I don't think Pacquiao-Mosley is likely."

Pacquiao-Mosley at 144 lb not advisable, says Wakee.
MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao should avoid falling into the trap being laid out for him by Shane Mosley.
One of Pacquiao’s advisers – Rex “Wakee” Salud – issued the warning after Mosley said he’s ready to stake his WBA welterweight crown if he gets to face the Filipino champion at a catch weight of 144 lb on Oct. 17.
Salud said it’s all too good to be true.
“Manny may be too small for Mosley if he agrees to fight at 144 pounds."
“It’s Mosley who needs Manny so he should agree to what Freddie Roach (Pacquiao’s trainer) wants and that’s 142. Or at least, maybe they can make 143. But not 144,” added Salud.
“That’s Manny’s comfort zone, to weigh in at 138, 140 or 142 lb. If he agrees to 144, that will give Mosley all the comfort he needs,” Salud said.
Mosley said he can try and make 144 and then he plans to climb the ring against Pacquiao at 154 lb or anywhere he’s comfortable at without sacrificing his speed.
Mosley asked Roach why they can’t fight him at 147 lb just like Dela Hoya and the three-time Trainer of the Year simply said Mosley is not Dela Hoya.

"Shane Mosley Willing to Fight Pacquiao at 140."

AFTER JULY 2009:
"Shane came to the gym twice to ask me to let him fight Manny," Roach says. "I told him no both times, and both times for the same two reasons: First, there isn't enough money there, and second, you're too good a fighter."
- Freddie Roach
De La Hoya, Hatton, Clottey and now Mosley.
Margarito was just washed up and exposed at least he pulled (plaster free). At least Cotto was a good win even though they needed an advantage of a "catchweight" as EVERY pound to Roach is important. As you would see if you seen the first round of negations with Mosley that they turned down even when Mosley said he would drop down to 140. They even wanted to Fight Floyd at a catchweight at one point...
It took Mosley turning 40 and losing/not looking "too good" for Pac fight him.. Yet i'm supposed to take the pacterd fanboys word that Floyd is the one ducking?
We cant even get Pac in the ring with a legit Champion from 135-154. lol
Believe it or not, I put most of the blame on the Floyd-Manny fight not happening on Mayweather's shoulders because to me it's only being fair. But that still doesn't mean that Pacquiao has to fight a predictable opponent everytime he steps in the ring from now on. I just get tired of these kind of fights period.
And this isn't the only example of it either. Take for instance when Bernard Hopkins fought Roy Jones after he got KOd by Danny Green. Now that was a total bullshit fight there. And then another example is even JMM fighting Morales. But the reason that Pacquiao deserves more criticism than those guys is because Bernard and JMM don't fight a perceived overmatched opponent everytime they step in the ring like Pacquiao does.
At least JMM fought Katsidis after he knocked out an undefeated propsect that a lot of people were high on I can't remember his name. And then Hopkins went on to do enough to appear to deserve the decision over Pascal.
Now the question is what is Pacquiao gonna do after he is done with Mosley? I guarantee you he'll fight the winner of the rematch between Cotto and Margarito. Hell, Arum was talking about that a few weeks ago. And going back to JMM fighting Morales I don't like that either. But I also think he will step up his game after that whether if it is fighting Khan or the Bradley-Alexander winner or possibly Pacquiao if he finally mans up.
And speaking of the Bradley-Alexander winner, that's a fight Pacquiao could take too, but he won't. Because they fit the description of being too young. I also think Bradley will win that fight because Alexander aint as good as a lot of us thought he was before he basically got a gift against Kotelnik. I don't think Pacquiao will ever fight Berto either. Now all those guys I think would lose to Pacquiao and probably get flattened. But at least it would be something a little different and a little less predictable.
I just find it so funny that Mosley is all of a sudden a viable opponent for Pacquiao. He fits that description of a guy who can't pull the trigger anymore which is one of Roach's infamous quotes.

it was such a great duck that pac took on & demolished the guy who beat mosley.
whoops.
soooo, what changed now that he "selected" to fight him now? lol

Yet here it is about to be 2011 and a 40 year old Mosley is now all of a sudden marketable? Bob said he's "dangerous early on" and hit Floyd twice...
Does that mean Shane's an ATG now that Pac "selected" him???
Is it that we hold REALLY low standards for Pac, or is it that Mayweather is JUST that great?
pac ducked Mosley when he was Champion just as he's now ducking the undefeated WW Champion yet again. Let alone JMM. How do we expect Pac to get in the ring with Mayweather when he wouldn't with Mosley from 142-147 and "too good", an undefeated WW Champion in Berto or the man that took him to hell twice and WOULD be the man to sell more PPV's with Pac out of Berto and Mosley.
Selling the "ability" of the fighter is out the window because Mosley is shot and Berto is young, undefeated and prime. His "ability" and expectations are a lot higher than that of a 40 year old who hasnt won a fight in nearly 2 years and as Roach and many others have said wont get his punches off anymore. Not to mention he IS the WBC WW Champion.
Selling the "availability" of the fight is out the window as Arum for some crazy reason made it a race to sign a fight.
Selling the "marketability" of the fight is out the window as they said Mosley wouldn't sell and JMM would be the selection out of the three if they wanted to fight the most popular fighter, especially over cinco de mayo.
If people want to say Pac didnt duck Mosley because he "picked" to fight Cotto (at a catchweight, yet not vs De La Hoya?), what changed to make Pac "select" to fight Mosley in 2011?
"whoooooops".................................................................
hilarious, those retards are amazing arent they?
Seriously, each time they post, they make themselves look like idiots here, its hilarious because they are actually serious in whatever they post, and they truly believe it.
Pac was still testing the waters at welterweight whats the point of bumping a year old thread that even has a quote from january 2009 in it. Fuking year and a half ago!!!
maybe you would like to find some quotes from Roach on Pac fighting Shane when Manny was a featherweight.
1.) its not a year old thread it was created over a month ago
2.) when you have nothing else to say about pacquiao ducking mosley WITH the facts being there you resort to whining "WHT A FUKKIN OLD THREAD, IT WAS CREEATED DECADES AGOOO LMAOPWNZZ"
3.) I forgot, your a pacquiao and MMA fan so i cant see you being objective.
Pacquiao fans so far have had NO REASONABLE OR OBJECTIVE answer for this thread, deep down they know their god ducked mosley.

pactards before the pacquiao vs cotto fight:
"there isnt enough money in fighting mosley, pac should fight cotto it makes more sense"
pactards after mayweather vs mosley fight:
"shane is a bigger draw than cotto"
classic........
hilarious, those retards are amazing arent they?
Good job bumping your thread you ****ing retard really good job there werent enough shit threads on the first page .
go watch some wrestling son...this is a boxing forum :boxing:
See Mayweather fans are gay obssessed about Pac.
If Pac accept that, then you flomos would say he drained Mosley.
Margarito called out Mayweather and Money quacked then run like a chicken.
pacquiao is fighting margarito next :lol1: :lol1:
the same margarito mosley destroyed...actually wait he wont be the same anymore since mosley destroyed him...
Pacquiao has been ducking all the best fighters , since his controversial decision against Marquez.
Packy ain't the one throwing these ridiculous accusations, then all of a sudden introduce this silly OSD tests for the first time after 40 fights. That's as clear as a duck's quack.
Pac doesn't a problem with ''big and strong fighter'', these guy are too slow for him. If pac was in Mayweather's shoes, he would have KO grandpa Mosley.
