Let me preface my comments by saying that I like both Pacquiao and Mayweather and I think they are both phenomenal boxers.
I will say that I did find it a little disturbing that Pacquaio wouldn't take the blood test. Conventional thought says if you have nothing to hide then why not do it. If for no other reason that to show your opponent you're not cheating.
But anyway, as for the fight, I really don't see how Pacquaio is going to win. He has always had problems with true boxers, and Mayweather likes when fighters try to pressure him. I see this fight playing out like all of Mayweather's fights. It'll be competitive for the first few rounds and once Mayweather gets Pacquiao's timing and rhythm down it will be a blowout for the rest of the fight.
The only real question in my mind is if Mayweather will knock him out or not. I have a feeling that he will try and really make a statement and either knock him out or make Roach throw in the towel.
I disagree. In the Marquez fight Pac was getting countered effectively by. Marquez and I seen Pac getting frustrated. PAC has improved since then but I think he will start to get flustered w/ Mayweathers style. People talk about Mosely getting tired but I actually think he was getting flustered because everytime he would intiate something he would miss and Mayweather would make him pay. He wouldn't let his hands go because he was being punished when he did. Everyone wants to say Mosely gassed out but he actually got his spirit broken.
Pac never stopped fighting though. He might have gotten rocked but he prevailed in the end. He also dropped Marquez 3 times in one round.
We can't compare Mosley to Pacquiao, two different fighters. Everybody keeps asking can Pacquiao get through Mayweather's Defense and Countering, well can Mayweather deal with Pacauiao's Offense?
Neither have ever fought a fighter like each other. There is only one Pacquiao and one Mayweather. We'll just have to wait to find out. For it's close to call however if I were to bet I would bet on Pacman. I think people underestimate his counter punching abilities, thanks to his speed he can beat you to the punch and he'll make you pay.

I'm not going to call names or anything. But if you suspect someone is on something it would be silly to get in the ring without knowing for sure. That would be like bringing a knife to a gun fight.
Take the test, show everyone you're clean, and if you're the better man you'll win. All these excuses as to why he doesn't want to take the test (scared of needles, mental distractions, giving Floyd an advantage, and now the Floyd is the bigger guy) makes him look like he's got something to hide.
In truth, instead of suing the Mayweather's and Golden Boy, he should be suing his own team. Their silly excuses have made him look a lot more guilty than anything anyone else has said.
I'm not buying this, ever. Evidence of Pacquiao taking drugs illegally could have been found by now. Still nothing. These OST thing will destroy boxing.
I watched the Mosley/May fight and I thought the performances of both were weak. Possibly because of these invasive tests. No one has to go through all that. There are better ways. Someone mentioned hair sample, for example, or something like that. OR taking the test right after the fight would be enough in addition to the current testing rules.
Shanes gassed out after the 2nd round.. ENOUGH SAID..
Pac IS NOT GOING TO GAS OUT..
From the words of the great trainer Emmanuel Steward, "Shane looks out of Sync, tired, slower, and his age has caught up to him"
Now if Steward the boxing expert/commentator is saying this sitting ringside then this tells you that Shane was not 100% in that ring....,
If Pacquiao is tailor-made for Mayweather, why the OST demand?
Is Mayweather a chicken or something?
Educate me.

I saw the same thing. I think it was in the 3rd round when Mosley tried to land that right again and Mayweather blasted him. After that Mosley seemed real hesitant about throwing that punch again. You could see when they went to his corner during rounds. He had a defeated look on his face.
Well lets look at some facts.
Pac has a great work rate not only that he has great foot work and speed/power.
The Mosley Mayweather fight was a crucial match to get a solid base of how a pac and mayweather fight would go.
Shane gassed and was looking for power shots that wasn't there. To me Shane was gassed from round 4 on. That will not happen with pac not only does he throw in his 7 punch combos but he can do it from all angles spinning and pivoting for 12 rounds. Come in and out with his quick foot speed.
Shane was getting pop-shotted and seemed scared to pull the trigger (pac/clotty) . I have seen Pac get tagged really well, and not only does it seem that he enjoys it he encourages it. (which is why you got to love that warrior)
Hard one to analyze, we all want the fight to happen. But I think pac will be a huge test for floyd and vice versa.
You make some good points. I generally don't like to use prior fights to base analysis because they generally don't translate well, if you know what I mean.
But, if you want to look at prior fights, you can also look at the trouble Marquez gave Pacquiao in both fights. You could also look at when Cotto boxed in the early parts of their fight, and even Hatton in the 2nd round of their fight until he ran into Pacquiao's fist. Boxers give him problems, the only issue with those fighters is that they had horrendous defense.
You could even look at the Clottey fight. Clottey was landing that right hand all night and busted Pacquiao up. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Clottey had wanted to win that fight.
Pac isn't "tailor made" for anyone, likewise, neither is Floyd. Mayweather will see that Pac's punches don't come from standard boxing angles and he won't be able block them. Floyd's defense is great for traditional boxing stances and angles of attack but his shoulder roll and counter bs won't be happening in there against the machine gun.

There is a reason why people's workrate seems to drop when they face fighters like Hopkins and Mayweather. Pacquaio will be no different. The fight will be good for the first 4-6 rounds, if that, then it will be a complete wipeout.
That is the story with all of Mayweather's fights.
