Why wouldn't Manny fight Paul Williams? Why fight the guy who lost to Paul Williams? Because all those guy i mentioned are Top Rank fighters and well you def know Arum and keeping the money in house.

i think both fighters need each other equally and for sure floyd is the bigger draw, brings in more paperview sales and should be in the driver’s seat but let’s think about this rationally folks all bias aside. If a floyd vs pac clash of the titans fight doesn’t get made then which other fighter out there meets floyd’s criteria of star power and financial incentive for him to get in the ring with? None if you realistically think about it. Pac on the other hand has options in the arum stable. Sure i wouldn’t care for a pac vs margorito, or pac vs cotto ii or pac vs foreman but they are realistic possibilities and they sure can’t be worse than pac vs clottey. All these fights can be made easily being that they are all arum’s fighters and will get made if floyd vs pac doesn’t happen. Floyd on the other hand wouldn’t have a viable dance partner that meets his criteria of star power and financial incentive. There really is no reason that the fight HAS to be made. All the people calling Pac a bum have to remember that no matter what he will be loved in the Phillipeans so it's not like he has anything to prove to the fans. Floyd will make $20 mil a fight regardless of who he fights. Floyd has many more interesting and attractive options than Pac does. You can say what you want about spending, he has a lot more of it to spend than Pac does. Maybe pac's dollars are worth more in the Phillipines but he doesn't make as much as Floyd per fight. That is unbiased truth on the matter that cannot be slanted. if no Floyd vs Manny would the public rather see Manny vs. Cotto or Margarito or Floyd vs. Martinez or P-Will?

no he is promoted by mayweather promotions. I'm sure floyd and his lawyers made a smart deal. whatever they put out they get back when the final ppv #'s are in. He did just make more than 3x the money shane, one of GBP partners, made in his last fight. being your own promoter has its advantages and disadvantages. it's like the difference between working for a company and owning your own business. just because you own your own business doesn't necessarily mean you are making more money. being your own promoter has its own costs. besides mayweather technically is being promoted by golden boy. they don't work for free for him. Mayweather Promotions is no different from MP Promotions or Winky Wright Promotions. They are all shell companies that fighters have to get deductions from the money that they pay to the IRS. Other than Floyd himself, who are the other fighters that he promoted?? Had Mayweather promotions actually had a fight card? I just want to see these mofo's fight. I am tired of talking about who is the bigger draw, who should get more, who needs who more. PPV numbers and all that bullshit. I was surprised to see it. The article also talks about how much money he gives to poor filipinos. I don't think the margarito fight or the cotto 2 will make much money. I won't buy either. Marg is a cheater and the mainstream press would kill bob and manny for fighting him in mexico. I would like to see manny drop down and defend the 140 lb title agaist tim bradley or alexander. You won't buy it and i won't buy it but there is a huge mexican and filipino market that can and will buy it. The fight would still do good. Floyd made huge money of Mosley because Mosley is a solid B-side.Mosley is comparable to Cotto. Margarito is the same thing despite being involved in the hand wraps controversy. Marg is the second most popular active Mexican fighter behind JMM. And he has a solid Mexican fanbase behind him especially when he fights Pac, who just few year ago had been branded as the Mexicutioner. And he is more available to fight Pac than Floyd being that both are promoted by Top Rank. Who are the fighters that Floyd is left to fight.. Berto, Williams, Martinez. Firstly, I doubt if Haymon will allow his fighters (Berto, Williams) to fight against each other. And secondly they haven't been involved in PPV to really gauge if they can be a good B side for Floyd. Plus you dont have a fanbase that will support this fighters. The best option for Floyd that I can think of is Khan and Ortiz. And they are not tested yet in the elite WW level...
