is this true or false? that every fight is different, every game plan is different depending on the opponent, once he gets in the ring with any opponent he studies them and fights accordingly...
Mayweather always takes 2 or so rounds to study the moves his opponant is making, after that he picks you apart, he takes away anything you were successful with earlier and counters it.
Floyd is very good at fighting a fat lightweight and a past prime old fighter. He can easily adjust to any fighter that has the above attribute.
:damnit:what took you so long

Floyd does....when it comes to Pacquiao he's hella scare for his life.
Floyd is just great at making adjustments...what happened after that big 2nd round of his fight against Mosley?? He kept his composure, didn't panic and made Shane look like a fool for the remaining 10 rounds.
He brought the fight to Shane, outboxed him and outfought him! He didn't run away, he fought all the way through.
the right hand was taken away in that round, i belive shane tried shoot it again and hit air. floyd completely took that punch away...shane with no jab and shane with a right had nothing. he tried the leaping left but couldnt was blocked and couldnt get close enough without eating jabs and straights. floyd will take away pacs left and he will no answers. floyd has razors in both hands, can throw with either hand, its so multi-dimensional in both offense and defense it's a true pleasure to watch because I highly doubt a fighter will come along like this in a long time.
And thats the worst thing about facing him. He comes out and gets your timing down and picks you apart. I dont believe everything floyd says but from watching his fights I believe him when he says he doesnt watch other guys fights to get ready for his fight.

man why cant all pacquiao fans be objective like you? maybe cuz ur a boxing fan first..props

Exactly you point out exactly what I see/saw. Mosley did not get old over night but we all knew that would be the excuse afterwards. Mosley didn't want to get countered. After the 2nd he spent the rest of the fight trying to figure out how to punch without getting countered. I think a lot of fast fighters think oh I'm fast I can hit him, floyds not faster then me...But its not only that he's fast but he's so damn quick and on top of his timing.
Also Pac has no jab, everybody knows pac and roach are counting on a lucky shot, or for him to throw 200 punches a round and floyd throw his 48 and they'll win...LMAO I laugh @ this cause Manny will get frustrated just like the other 41 and he'll get knocked out..everybodys biggest punch against manny is a right hand. Clottey even had success when he did throw it, Floyd would pick Manny apart hands down.

That's exactly what Floyd did against Shane. Did you notice how after that big right hand, Shane didn't hit Floyd cleanly anymore? That's a hell of an adjustment from Floyd. He truly is gifted, he got my respect.
You're one of the first I've seen to point out that Pac doesn't adjust in a fight. He starts at his speed and keeps that rhythm all night. The traps he sets are the ones he's been drilled with in training and not the results of out-thinking his opponents, which is what Floyd does. Roach sounds foolish making statements like "Floyd's legs are gone"-- So take the tests, make the fight & then your guy will learn a lesson. If we're lucky some of the idiots on this site will disappear after Floyd 's done teaching. Mosley grew old in the ring my ass, Floyd took his weapons away just like he does everyone else & I'll bet you that if Pac fought Mosley right now, he'd get his ass whipped still...that's my opinion of course but Pac's only chance of beating Floyd is a huge mental lapse in the ring where he forgets how to box. Outside of that, he boxes that ****er's ears off 7 days a week & twice on Sunday.
I agree with a lot of the statements made in this thread. I believe pacman is a real good fighter I take nothing away from him like all the fmj try to take away from him...There's no point, if you know anything about boxing and didn't just jump on the pac bandwagon then you have to give credit when credit is due...Pac is a really good fighter, but floyd is an amazing fighter hands down.
With that being said Pac makes a lot of makes a lot of them. He will have to fight a perfect fight and even then I personally don't think he can win. The fight will look similar to the jmm fight. The thing is floyd dictates what the other fighter does. They be so afraid of getting countered they think too hard on what to ddo, and/or get frustrated and start throwing bombs and get countered all night. Pac will do this, pac doesn't have the ability to adjust or think in he ring he depends on roach who can't get in there with him, so it'll be a long night for them and I have a feeling roach will throw in the towel late in the fight to stop the punishment and embarassment...Just my opinion
Is amazing how Floyd talent has so far been understimate, this guy is a real ambassador of sweet science, he comes in and follow the fight plan.I think he will make pacquaio looks so untalented. If a guy of shanes calibre,a future hall of famer only had a half of round to make an impression, when he had Naziim in his corner and Roach is only looking at that as basis of his student beating floyd i guess he needs to check his credentials well.
I believe Arum knows through his match maker that pacquiao wont win and for business sense he should be made to fight within his promotion to maximise profit, for a promoter thats what keeps him going.Do you think he cares about pac legacy,he cares only about money.. Else he would have made this fight happen, roach only sees things on a trainers point of view cos he trains guys around all promotional companies whereas Arun sees things from Top rank point of view...
Pac will loose.

your signature's cool man, that's how Floyd will beat Pacquiao.
People ask why Shane stopped throwing the jab,how could he throw one when he was being countered with the right.
this is what pactards and freddie roach dont get...floyd is versatile, and freddie is basing everything of what he say last week
well I wouldn't say that unless Freddie is throwing all his past comments/thoughts out the window. But in reality if you listen carefully to waht Roach has said in the past it's actually very wise and makes a Floyd fan worry.
Roach sagaciously states how when he studies tapes of Floyd he's not looking for mistakes and doesn't care about mistakes because all fighters make mistakes and you can't count on those to win a fight. He looks for patterns, things that Floyd has been doing for his entire career, i.e. how he shifts his weight or how he positions himself in certain recurring situations, etc, things like that.
So with that said I think Roach DOES expect to learn alot about Floyd's patterns from the past and I doubt he really means what he says about what he saw this past week.
The truth is, it's just the style Floyd chose to fight in and you can't say he has no legs or he's shot unless you then go back as far back as the Mitchell fight and say Floyd was shot then because Floyd literally fought almost identical in the Mitchell fight as he did against Shane and I highly doubt that he was "shot" back then in his late 20's which is usually a fighter's prime.
Me personally i think he apply pressure to Pac... Using all of his length and skill often and early....
floyd will use his reach effectively on pacquiao.
whether its an inside fight or outside fight, floyd has the upper hand in both.
man i want to see this fight already, seriously i think people will see the best mayweather ever because of counter punching..pacquiao will be open to a lot of counter punches,,,straight right hands...morales used a straight right hand to beat him, marquez used a straight right hand to beat pacquiao,
once he gets in that square circle and studies his opponent, then he knows what style he has to fight to get the W in a good fashion. the man knows how to win...he adapts and adjusts after 1 or 2 rounds..i mean seriously he is a complete fighter and has every punch in his arsenal.
