Pacquiao/Marquez or Cotto/Margarito.
In both these fights, you had 2 groups of fans who are crazy loud and enthusiastic. I love watching those fights because unlike a Hatton fight, if Hatton is losing, the place gets quiet and the vibe dies down.
Same. Remember watching it on live TV when I was 14.
The atmoshere in that one is pretty sickening, really.
Hilarious that you actually enjoy listening to Jim Watt, and most of us (UK posters) can't stand him.
I was just messing about Margarito-Cotto before, it was a good one. Not one of the best 2 of the last 5, 6 years, though, I don't think.
:lol1: Watt's accent reminds me of my crazy Glaswegian aunt. I find it hysterical how he screams into the mic. Plus, you can never go wrong with his catchphrase of "Bang on the chin!" :lol1:
I can't stand Ian Darke. I like him when he does football, but not boxing.
I know this wasn't "recent", but Benn-McClellan had a great atmosphere.
I had only seen the Showtime version, but recently got an excellent copy of the ITV broadcast and rewatched it. You could tell that fight was gonna be good as soon as you saw the stare down, ATG stuff. Plus, Jim Watt was commentating. :D
I both love and hate watching that fight, though, and for obvious reasons.
Agree both those fights had great atmosphere. But I think fights in the USA lack the atmosphere of UK and Irish fights, when Bernard Dunne fought Cordoba in Dublin there was thunderous noise throughout the whole bout, you could hardly hear the bell. And when he got up of the canvas three times to knock him out the place literally erupted.
In the states the crowds only seem to make noise at certain points in the fight whereas over here crowds make noise throughout the whole bout.

Pac/Marquez crowd is underrated. Even at the weigh in
I heard a recent Kenny Bayless interview where he said that PAc vs Hatton was the most electric atmosphere he's ever reffed a fight in. He said he had adrenaline pumping through his veins during that fight.
“I told people that for as long as I have been refereeing I had never had an adrenaline rush but I got one after the first round of The Pacquiao-Hatton fight,” Bayless claims. “It was so loud in that arena with the Brits and the Filipinos that it just was over the top. It was so loud in there that I had to yell just to feel that they could hear me. After that fight when Pacquiao finally knocked Ricky Hatton out, we usually have a post fight critique where we critique the whole evening. I had lost some of my voice and that was after only two rounds. If they fight had went six, seven, or eight rounds I could only imagine what kind of shape my throat would have been in.”

well i've been to a few fights pac -clottey was great just because of the stadium the fight was eh ,the loudest was definitely may-hatton.
but those two fights that thread starter named is great because the fighters kept going back and forth and so did the fans.

Are you sure about that? From all the evidence that i saw Hatton's fans scream even more.
Man I remember how crazy we got in the stands when Cotto kneeled down before Margarito.
Me and a big group right after the fight we're chanting..
"Yo si le voy le voy a los boricuas!"
:lol1:.
You'll choose anything with Floyd. You would prolly choose Mayweather/Baldomir over Cotto/Margarito.
do a poll I guarantee you everyone will choose mayweather/hatton because that was the biggest by far.
You fail.
