Floyd caved in and fought Mosley when his other options were shot down by HBO. I believe he would have fought Cotto.
this right here ^^^^
cotto would've become his biggest money fight, the only way it wouldn't have happened would've been for arum to "outprice" miguel.
Do you think Cotto-Mayweather would have happened?
mayweather was clearly waiting for the winner of that fight, despite ellerbe saying he wasn't.
the only way mayweather-cotto wouldn't have happened, would've been if cotto was expecting a 50-50 split.
OST three times a day.lol
just kidding. i think it would, coz PBF wants cotto to win against pac last nov.. pac's style would really be more of a prob to pbf than cotto's style.
i disagree i think floyd came back to fight pac thinking like most of us did at the time that manny was too small to compete at the higher weights and that manny would be a low risk high reward type of fight that floyd loves but all of that changed when floyd saw cotto pac and then realized that not only could manny take a punch but could hurt a solid ww with his own.

yeah....if cotto had beated pac then he wouldve been No 1 P4P Fighter and then floyd wouldve wanted to fight him or the managers and promoters wouldve wanted them to do a super fight..
Article from an alternate reality.....
"Roger Mayweather sensationally stated today that he believes current Welterweight champ and P4P king Miguel Cotto is taking performance enchancing drugs. Cotto was dominant in his victory over Phillipino fighter Manny Pacquiao and openly called out Floyd Mayweather after the fight. But the Mayweather's believe that Cotto's victory was down to more than just hard work in the gym, "Those Puerto Rican Mother f*ckers, they got some bad a$$ shi*! P side meth, some army deal or summin', making their soldiers all bullet proof n'all. He ain't clean, we ain't letting lil Floyd fight him without the proper testing, this a dangerous sport. Mother f*cker! When he take the tests Floyd will box his a$$!". Cotto declined to comment on the revelations but admitted that both teams are still quite far apart in their negotiations of terms"
mayweather ducked him in the past, even retiring to avoid the likes of cotto and margo, what makes you think he would suddenly get some balls and fight him?
i just hope steward brings some kind of spark to his career because COTTO can fuking box man..i hope this fight in yankee stadium will give cotto a lot of media attention because he deserves it and all this talk about he's not in contention with the elite at welterweight is bs...
WAR COTTO!!!
Cotto would of done anything necessary to get in the ring with floyd...
i remember when floyd retired, cotto started talking a little smack about him because cotto just came off the win of mosley and it was just him and floyd at the top of the welterweight class (the only time in his career that he has done it)...saying how he would of beaten floyd, how floyd has been ducking hard tough opposition throughout his career and other things about the WWE this and that...
cotto took on any and everybody in the welterweight division...annihilated judah, outboxed mosley, fought margarito (who nobody at the time wanted to face, including floyd), fought a big, strong and granite chinned clottey (who gave every opponent fits), and of course even pacquiao (though pac wanted a 143 catchweight, it was cotto who wanted the 145 - so still gotta give pac his props for a hell of a fight, even cotto)..but one fighter he avoided (but every welter really did lol) was paul williams...
back to the question lol, yes cotto would of accepted anything floyd wanted, and he would of gave floyd his first lose by any means necessary...im not gonna lie, that was and still is a fight i would of LOVED to see because im sure cotto would of won or at LEAST gave him many problems...
COTTO vs MAYWEATHER make THAT happen!
I don't think it is fair to say Cotto ducked Williams. He wanted a tune-up after the first loss of his career which is fine by me.

Pacquiao, Margarito,Clottey and cotto all have the same promoter Arum would never have anyone of them in the ring with Mayweather until they settle their personal dispute.
lets not forget cotto has to be his own boss cuz he fights for arum and floyd dont do business with arum. funny that also describes pac
I was going to say something along these lines. Arum and Mayweather just don't mix well. Hence I voted that it wouldn't happen. I don't believe Floyd will fight Pac either even though I really want it.
