This is not a flame thread or trying to discredit Pacman. I was looking back at some Pacqauio fights and noticed every fighter he fought was known as either a slow powerful guy or a brawler...with no handspeed, or at least not enough handspeed to have people talking about it.
I wonder since Mayweather has fought Corley, Judah, and Mosley who all three have really good handspeed especially Judah and Mosley; how will Pacquiao react to finally meeting a fighter that can match/even his handspeed? Will he panic mentally and will it psyche him like damn I never thought someone can be as fast or faster than me, what do I do now?
Of course, but speaking of handspeed, it means hitting your opponent with the maximum effect. Pacquiao can take Mayweather's punches, but I doubt if Mayweather can survive the pacman.
Pacquiao has the best handspeed with great power. All you guys can compare when pacquiao hits his opponent like hatton. Mayweather hit mosley with a solid right on the jaw, but his punch is just too weak. He can never beat pacquiao.
a knockout isnt the only way to win a fight...whats your point??

You two(you and shogun) don't understand the question. So I will skip trying to debate both of your posts.
I will at least give you a hint since you seem a bit confused. Who did Pacquiao fight that was as fast or faster than him?
Do you get it now? let me know.
We can take baby steps just for you couple of Pactards.
LOL I'ts amazing how so many people in this thread ignored a simple question and tried to change this to a totally different topic.
well i would say marquez but like some say it's more he got better timing then nartual speed.
hm and no manny has never fought no one that i can think off with handspeed. if i had to say i say morles and Barrera had good hand speed. enough to get a win off pac.
This^^^^^
asking if Manny has faced fast fighters is very ignorant considering that those guys at 106-118 are some of the fastest fighters in the sport.

Ok explain to me why not? I mean something has to make you think they were slower?
It's something called sight, common sense, and basic boxing knowledge.
Let's be real about this the title of this thread should be "when has Pac fought a slick African American boxer" because in the lower weight classes the truth is everyone has handspeed.
yeah u read everyone's mind

I think he is faster than all of his opponent. There was a poster here a few weeks back who finally saw pac handspeed in person. He was shocked and opined videos don't do justice to his actual handspeed. Barrera has good handspeed. Plus Jmm is no slouch in the lower weights. I think most of the guys in the lower weights have greater handspeed than at the upper weight. We'll see who has the upper hand on this when they actually fight.
As for your question, I doubt he would panic. It's evident in the Morales fight that even when he is down on the cards, he would still fight. I think its more of a matter that Roach better make good adjustments midfight so he can relay to Pac. Otherwise, Floyd got this.
I forgot who said it but it was apt. They said "Mosley is fast, but when you meet someone who is as fast or faster than you it's a shock." Pac will go through sticker shock when he sees how fast Floyd is. If he can't adjust to it he will be out before the 6th.
Zab speed in the ww or jww are look very fast compared to the other ww because most of boxer that weight are slow fighter but for real zab speed is just average when you compared it to the boxer in the lower weight division.

I don't people should ask the question of fast fighters. I think the question should be, has he faced complete fighters, with a combination of everything.
flyweight - LW, have always had the fastest boxers in all the divisions. Now idiots are telling us manny some how skipped all of them becausse judah wasnt one of them

barrera was nowhere near his prime when he fought and got whopped by the pacman in 2003 i mean marco antonio barerra has been fighting since he was like 15 years old so he was far from in his prime when the pacman got his big win against a slower barerra
dumbest thing I have ever heard on NSB....smh
Barrera was on one of the greatest runs in the history of the FW division. He had just beaten Hamed, Morales, Tapia, Sanchez and others and looked like an absolute beast in doing so.
Few things can prepare you for very fast hands like Floyd or Mannys. Few people have as fast let alone faster hands than either fighter, Judah and maybe Mosley in his prime had faster hands at WW in this era.
Manny has fought guys with fast hands though, Marquez and Cotto have decent speed, but remember he fought as low as 106, those guys will probably be faster than 90% of WW's because they carry alot less weight.

So then your point here is that just because Pac hasn't faced any "slick" (equated to black) opponents doesn't mean that his Hispanic foes were any less dangerous then the ones that Mayweather faced, then.
This shows how close minded you are.
Joel Casamayor - Cuban
Joan Guzman - Dominican
Two guys he could have faught instead of David Diaz who didn't even earn the belt he got. He was awarded it after they stripped Casamayor of his belt. So who was the real champion at that time? Casamayor, whom Pacquiao could have faught but decided against. So he could fight a stylistically favoring match up, whom wasn't going to be a challange to him what-so-ever.
Pacquiao didn't fight "PRIME" Barrera, dumbass. This thread isn't titled "Name all the boxers you can with fast hands." Pac fought an over-the-hill on the way out Barrera.
A 28 year old Barrera with a 6 fight winning streak after his defeat from Morales was not prime? :ugh:
When has Floyd fought anyone with great handspeed himself? Other than a 39 year old mosley. And before you say Judah how much hand speed does one have when they lose to a plodding journeymen named Baldomir.
Zab Judah has fast hand speed.
Judah just lacks mental strength and heart. If he gets down on himself, he loses.
I don't see how you can possibly discredit Judah's speed. That's a fail for you sir.
Speed is deceptive. Some guys can appear slower, but just have that perfect timing and cannot miss. Angles, accuracy and timing can be so important.
With Floyd and Manny. If they fight each other, handspeed will only be a moderate factor. Timing and footwork will be so important for both of them.
Both of them have fast hands and can deliver short fast punches. That fight will be all about maintaining punching range for both of them.
