Keep in mind, Shane Mosley was away from boxing almost as long as Floyd with no tuneup in between. A year and 4 months, to be exact.
I think Mosley does much better in a rematch, that wasn't the real mosley in there that night.
i see where youre coming from, he would learn to do what he did in the 2nd round over and over again, and press with more intesity and letting his hands go throwing straight hard shots after well timed sharp jabs that get of first before getting hit.
Mosleys skill wasnt the problem,it was his mental state and thinking of that 1 big shot and not letting his combinations flow.
But ide rather see mosley KO berto. pac v floyd live up to the hype it would get.
and maybe mosley vs williams or martinez.
or even mayweather vs martinez, berto or williams.
It had nothing to do with the 2nd round.
He hadn't fought in a year and 4 months. He also got his weigh in process messed up by USADA.
He didn't look like the "real" Mosley, because the "real" Mosley never fought Floyd.
I disagree that was the same Mosley as ForrestI, that is what Mosley does when he doesn't know what to do. Watch all the Forrest and Winky fights and you will see the same thing.
At any point in his career what happeaned to him on May 1st would happean to him.

mosley sux at rematches. he needs to take a tune up. then hope for a stab at pac. then fight a going away fight. and retire.
No point, and i bet he doesnt want it, Floyd made him look worse than Zab Judah, completely schooled him and reduced him into survival mode. He doesnt want to look that bad again. He should fight Berto to see if he can still belong in there, or retire.
He had a great career but i feel Floyd took a lot out of him in terms of confidence. No shame in looking like that against Floyd, but if he feels he might lose again in that fashion against a lesser fighter, then he should call it a day. A fighter needs to believe in himself.
