From fight_hype:
"Mosley knows I was hurtin' him too; bad! I was hurtin' him bad, you know what I'm sayin'?" .... "but he was holding me. He was holding me; all he was doing was just trying to survive"
Dang right ... he was basically bouncing around like a bunny throwing some "touch" punches and then holding floyd.
I was so pissed at Shane I wish he got KOed.
Like Floyd said, he was just trying to survive and await for the paycheck.
He's no different from Clottey. At least Clottey wasn't holding.
In the 8th round floyd had mosley hurt bad believe me it was kinda odd what had happen its like bayless had jumped in between them for some odd reason..i thought it was a standing 8 count for a second but it wasnt bad enuff..but he was clearly hurt multiple times in that fight
Yep ... so did Clottey.
Clottey did try ... he just didn't try enough.
Pac did step on the gas when he began to.
In the championship rounds, pac was very active due to him wanting the KO.
Just like Floyd who wanted the KO.
Anyone who compares Clottey to Sugar is an absolute fukking disgrace... to compare an ATG to a C fighter is fukking pathetic...
Responding to your post dyu, I dont think floyd ever stepped on the gas.. i never saw any 3-4 punch combos in the last few rounds.... loves the 8th round when they were talking back and forth and mayweather clocked Shane... that was GREAT... they got everyone in the arena pumped up when they started jawing at each other
In those rounds, or probably even before, Shane was tired. He had nothing left, and he didn't want to get stopped or maybe felt he could still try and land something lucky.
Clottey never even tried against Pacquiao

and Floyd had near 10 rounds to put away an exhausted 38 year old and couldn't.
ROOKIE, this is called BOXING not KNOCKOUTS. If you're so god damn thirsty for a KO every fight then rent the ROCKY DVD series and watch it over and over and over until your little heart is filled with joy.
Start of the championship rounds (10-12) ... without punches landing at him yet ... he basically kept holding floyd.
His whole goal was to not get hit.
As floyd said, he basically was just trying to survive. Didn't clottey do the same thing? (except for the holding)

Clottey never even tried against Pacquiao, that dude can't be compared with Mosley career wise.
He was getting hit with some very hard punches(some he never even saw coming), how do you know he wasn't at some point hurt by them?

A real champ doesn't hold 90% of the time he gets near his opponent.
He wasn't even hurt ... that was the whole point of his holding.
He was basically throwing pitty pats+holding so the ref won't stop the fight.
Mosley is a real champion, you need to review this man's career instead of judging him at 38. He was getting hit with some very hard punches(some he never even saw coming), how do you know he wasn't at some point hurt by them?
So Mosley was hurt and you guys don't expect him to try and prevent a knockdown or further punishment? Please, bunch of assholes.
And TS, don't compared Mosley with Clottey. Josh is not a real champ.

was getting ready to say that myself!!! spot on in both statements!!!!
Mosley is a dirty **** like BHOP, and Mosley was doing holding before he was hurt. Cheating asses, Floyd only held when he was hurt. Floyd didn't try to use it as a tactic. I remember when Mosley bum-rushed Floyd, then held Floyds arm and landed like 2 body shots in the row. What a cheating ass wrestler.
Exactly!
The difference with BHOP is that, prior to clinching, BHOP protects his chin by leading with his head down.
If we are going to criticize Mosley for holding then let's criticize Mayweather for sticking his elbows in the face of an opponent anytime he get's close. He did the same thing against Hatton and wasn't warned.
The people that think Floyd can't KO these guys are crazy. His style is to outbox and punish his opponent. He's a cautious fighter. He beat the hell outta Mosley. I'm sure he could take these guys out/be more aggressive if he wanted to.

I agree, Mosley was doing all of the holding that night, Money only held the two times he got rocked, but other than that he was either pushing the action of fighting Shane right in the center of the ring.
