“I’ve said it several times before and I’ll say it again: I expect Shane to come out early and hit Mayweather in the mouth with a right hand, Mayweather will grow wings, spout a tail and turn into a dragon."
this sounded like jibberish when we first heard it..........but thats exactly what happened.
That is exactly what happened but I dont think many thought Floyd would response the way he did. I was impressed with Floyd. I used to think Pacquiao may give Floyd a problem but now I think Floyd will wipe the floor with Pac and probably stop him.
The man did his homework.
I think he could use some help with the actual training methods, but as an analyst he definitely knows his shit.
Mayweather got put in danger, had to bring out his inner dog, and Shane didn't know what to do
That is exactly what I wanted to see happen in this fight, Money getting tagged good for him to unleash the wrath, he was sharper, was actually backing up Shane, being the aggressor and beating him to the punch and showing real bravado, I loved it, he taxed and spanked that ass from the third round up.
Naazim was one of the first trainers I seen refuse to underrate Mayweather's heart. I watched that 2nd round so many times Floyd got hit with 3 solid right hands and the 3rd one buckled his leg crazily. Floyd didn't just shell up though he threw back against the ropes, but he was clearly still dazed when he came off the ropes I saw him throw the sloppiest right hand I think I ever seen him throw because his legs still weren't fully there.
He regained his bearings not long after that though and it was over for Mosley. He shows his warrior spirit, as he has previously, but now hopefully those who only seem to remember the last 5 years will stop underrating dude.
More like a salamander. He was more aggressive than usual, but let's not mistake him for a Froch, Pacquiao, or Margarito.
Still, I was impressed how he stood infront on Mosley and was willing to trade at times.
I dont think it took a genius trainer to know that if you shook Floyd he'd come after you, we've seen him do just that vs Chop & Zab, he knocked down Chop the same round! I could of told Shane that
I think Nazim is a great boxing analyst..but his training methods (pool noodles and towels) was wack to me. He overrated as a trainer.. I've had trainers that had that double talk style.. more hustlers than anything else..
Now if you are talking actual training.. not mic skills and double talk.. then Roger Mayweather is the fukkin man. No one can do mitt work like him and he is a solid solid presence in Floyd's corner.
I think Nazim did a great job training Shane, Mosely did not listen to his corner's instructions. In my opinion, Shane abandoned his game plan after the 2nd round, and for whatever reason he became a headhunter looking to KO floyd. It was a shame.
He needed to keep punching, he totally abandoned his jab and lost the momentum. Mosely couldn't adjust at all.
On another note, Floyd deserves the credit, after being rocked with that right hand, he kept his composure did what he had to do to survive that attack and positioned himself throughtout the entire OUTSIDE the right straight...and peppered Floyd with the jab. He fought a smart fight!

except there was no tail for him to step on.
