Because a year prior, on the night of Pacquiao vs. Marquez II, Pac entered the ring at 145, and Marquez at 141.
On the night of Mayweather vs. Marquez, Floyd entered the ring at 146, a single pound heavier than Pac entered the ring against Marquez a year earlier, and Marquez entered the ring at 144, 3 pounds heavier than his bout with Pac.
Why wouldn't he get credit?
Marquez was 141 for the second Pac fight, he was 144 for the Mayweather fight.
he was 144 at the weigh in of the mayweather fight. Compare his pics of his fight night against manny to floyd, marquez was sporting a gut against floyd.
No matter hard you try to twist it, its obvious youre gonna give whatever benefit of the doubt to floyd.
If youre trying to tell us floyd was only 146 when he entered the ring youll need to check your eyes. at 146 for both recent fights he was looking skinny. he rehydrates at least 8lbs by the time he's entering the ring.
Because he did not stick to what was stipulated in contract, and obviously Marquez was a blown lightweight against a welter, still it was an impressive performance, but being a long time fan of his career and that alone left a sour taste, and made him look pretty bad...
Marquez was 141 for the second Pac fight, he was 144 for the Mayweather fight.
Perhaps my memories wrong, and it maybe, but did the JMM not alter the contract allowing Mayweather to come in at 146, as opposed to 144? Also, Floyd consistently comes in the ring at 146-147, I'd assume he wasn't much over if he wasn't indeed weighed.
Its difficult to tell how much Mayweather weigh in on fight night because he wasnt weighed, Remember he had too muscle on his arms after the long lay-off so i believe he was heavier on fight night against JMM than he was against Mosley last night, Mayweather weigh in at 146-7 last night because i saw a video of the post-fight where he said he couldnt put on any weight like he wanted to do, He said he wanted to come in at 150-152 but couldnt.
whatever the case maybe I still find it funny that a blown up featherweight performed much more admirably compared to a full welter like Mosley.
u got to give props to Marquez rather than Floyd.
I gave JMM is dues on fight night because i didnt believe he was going to lay into Mayweather like he did but PBF was just too big for him even though he was coming from a long lay-off.

i dont believe marquez was even 144, no one really picked this up but if you watch the weigh in again, Maquez was somehow allowed to wear all that crasy jewellery around his neck .
c'mon bro. use some common sense. jmm is a blown up lightweight. floyd just manhandled a big WW last night
i f@cking hate seeing u post! everytime i get to see that ass on yr sig, damn makes my faustrated. :wank:
How did you know Mayweather entered the ring at 146 on fight night when he didnt allow anyone to weight him? I doubt he came in at 146.

Sorry didnt see your post beforehand, I asked the same question in my post..
It's ok. I want to see it answered twice because I won't believe what he puts the first time anyway.
LOL. Yes, moving up a stone in a few months results in solid muscle mass and not a load of useless fat.
Also... How do you know Mayweather entered the ring at 146? That's pure BS. It was probably more like 152.

First of all you're not taking into account that Pac had to severely drain himself to make 130, while Floyd couldn't even drain to make 144.
Pac fought at 145. Floyd fought at 146. There goes that theory.
