A CBS sports writer who says he is a boxing fan, said this fight is irrelevant and shows how boxing doesn't put the best fighters against each other. I sent him an e-mail saying he should find a new career.

Some dumb dude in a bar told me Calzaghe was going to come up to Heavyweight and fight David Haye lol,I told him no Calzaghe has retired, doesnt fight at Heavyweight and that he's not going to risk his unbeaten record, the guy wasn't having any of it and argued he'd read it in the newspaper, I think he got the story of Bernard Hopkins who wanted to fight Haye mixed up somehow in his brain (as the UK newspaper probably had some reference to B-Hop fighting Calzaghe) ? lol

Pasawakayo saying that Floyd deserves no credit for tonight's fight if he doesn't beat Shane in Gatti fashion...LOL And he's been calling himself a Mayweather fan lately. :nonono:

I have heard Mike Tyson was the greatest Heavyweight of all time a few times. One of my friends said that De La Hoya won the Mayweather fight.

Im sure we as boxing fans have encountered all kinds of silly statements from casual fans that dont realy know much at all about the sport (and thats being kind to them) name the most ridiculous ones… i remember a guy at my work saying that Mayweather was ducking Calzaghe when he retired after the Hatton fight and that he only came back because Joe had retired when I explained to him that there was a huge weight difference and several weight classes between the two fighters he looked at me as if I was an idiot and said well Floyd looks way bigger than Calzaghe to me….. :rofl: Sadly, that is a conversation I can absolutely see taking place.
