I got 3 ideas(1)1 world title not 4(2)championship fights go 13 or 15 with no even rounds unless knockdowns or point deductions factor in(3)all fight cards to done vegas style.a couple of prelims followed by the cofeature & main events closed out by a couple wind down fights to end the night.the build up to the main events on long cards can be exhausting live....drinking,big dinner etc.the main event should be down by 10pm followed by a couple 4 rounders.
Simple, Have computers do judging. Get more points for going forward as an aggressor, lose some points for going backwards too damn much. In that way boxing would be more entertaining, and it would encouraged both fighters to actually fight. Most importly it would prevent bias judges from CONSTANTLY making wrong, intentional decisions.
This fails on so many levels, it would eliminate fighters who succeed at that.
A fighter going backwards and just picking apart a come forward guy who can't land to save his life is just equally as entertaining until the evader breaks him down and takes him out.
Some judges look for different things...its a part of judging. That's why there is three. We may not agree, but hey...that's life

I can't speak for the rest of the world since I'm american and have no idea how boxing is televised outside of it but as far as the US is concerned how about Boxing return to public channels? not everyone has cable and I think cable was the decline of boxing (less access to it). This is not a fact but my opinion another thing that comes to mind is boxing in schools as far as amateur boxing is concerned. I know there would probably be more insurance headaches/problems but i'm sure that would help bring boxing back to the common man, No?
*1 belt per weight class.
*Combine some of the lighter weight classes. Right now there just isn't much competition at the lighter weights (there are fewer pro boxers in the lightest 3 weight classes combined than there are at welterweight), and it shouldn't be a huge hardship if some guys have to move up 3 pounds.
*Use a computerized ranking system to reduce bias and corruption. However, the algorithm needs to be better than the one used by boxrec since the boxrec rankings aren't that good.
*No Pay Per Views. They discourage casual fans from getting interested in the sport.
*Hold judges and referees accountable.
*Have 2-stage title eliminators (so instead of just having 1 match and the winner is the mandatory, there would be a mini-tournament between the top 4 contenders who wish to participate).
Yep man .I hate it in the UK when fighters are dominating and not stepping up or promoters cherry pick opponents .Hatton promotions is good tho probably the most exciting in the UK .
I'd like to see a league tbh.
WLB
World League Boxing...or something more creative since MLB is taken.
It can be set up with multiple champs in the division but tieried, somethin akin to:
WBO--Regional Champ
WBA--United States Champ/ (insert country here) Champ
WBC--Full Fledge World Champ
So you move up in the ranks/league fighting your way up. Grab a strap that doesn't label you as a World Champ or anything...working on your way until you earned a shot at the World Champ. Have a league commissioner or a party of commissioners that configure the matchups and ensure that the fighters are fighting.
It can help eliminate multiple promoters from ruining fights, sets clarity and creates a scene where mandatory fighters are legit contenders. Champs can take other fights such as tune ups, but their schedule remains the same as long as they aren't injured or lose. As a credible league...TV money can be had and legitimacy as well. Hell, maybe then I can be introduced to world champs that I'm not exposed to now, like all them great champs in Japan and stuff at the lower weights
I don't know, but hte current set up is just horrendous
Do away with catchweights, put together better undercards, enable instant replay, 1 title per weight class, hold judges accountable for their scoring, and naked card girls.
yeah naked ring card girls!

1. 1 title in one weight class
2. no pay-per-view
3. more than 2 fight a year
4. the same drug testing all around
5. weigh in on the same day as the fight

STFU theres nothing to improve?? We got a red hot LWW LW Welterweight and SMW division!! There's some serious boxing going on.
get rid of some of the smaller scantioning bodies and get better judges
the wbo used to be a fringe belt like nabf, ibo,European title.it's only been recognized the last 4 or 5 years.I know japan doesn't recognize the wbo as a world sanctioning body.I think there are several others.have regional sanctioning bodies with only 1 true world title for each weight.you are a champion of a region you are in the top 10....that's when you decide who is in the eliminators.
get rid of some of the smaller scantioning bodies and get better judges
yep, more scrutiny over judges and refs.............
national commission with one set of rules that everyone has to follow, with the allowance of state provisions and specified rules, not this wild west hodge podge that all these lawyers and promoters get to hide behind, they've been doing it long enough.
boxing needs better marketing as well......
and I personally like same day weigh ins............. i think philly is the only state to still have those, it would keep fighters from dropping 35-40+ pounds to fight in certain weight divisions where it makes them beasts.
Get good matches on network tv. Thats it period. They can give away dozens of title belts and it wouldn't matter. People have to see fighters in order to like boxing.
Coupled with your betting record I can see this has not been a successful stay at boxingsene.com
I wish you the best in the future.
