Mosley: Ko'd Margarito in 9
Marquez: Ko'd Diaz in 9, and Casamayor in 11
Hatton: Ko'd Jose Luis Castillo in 4.
De La Hoya: Ko'd Mayorga in 6.
Baldomir: Ko'd Aurturo Gatti in 9.
All opponents were coming off a KO win before facing Floyd.
Not sure if any other boxer has a current streak like this....
Pretty cool!
This is true however:
Marquez: Had only 2 fights at lightweight and was noted to struggle with Diaz before the KO ans subsequent 12 lb weight gain needed to fight with Floyd.
Hatton: Had never looked good at 147 lbs and he fought Castillo at 140 not 147lbs. Castillo also went over 60 fights with only 7 losses or so and then lost 3 of his last 10 fights, one of which was the Hatton fight. (faded boxer)
De La Hoya:He lost to Hopkins right before the KO over Mayorga and including that fight, lost 3 of his last 5 fights...another fading boxer.
Baldomir:Not much explanation there, the guy had the speed of a pack mule. On paper, he was the most competent heading into the Mayweather fight but was another fading boxer who again, lost 3 of his last 5 fights.
Floyd is the master of portraying one thing while in reality, he uses advantages such as age, speed, and "champion" status to portray that he is fighting the best.....at their best.
He fought Hatton at arguably his peak, Baldomir at his best.....a 9 year winning streak with Judah and Gatti under his belt before Floyd, and quite honestly ppl fail to realise Floyd struggled against Baldo for the first 2-3 rds and fought the way he did because in actuality Baldo was a very big and strong welter. ODLH not at his best.....but not at his worst either.....and it was at 54 and Oscar had every advantage and still didn't win more than 3 rds. For JMM ppl take issue with the weight....but it's prob the 10th factor on a list of reasons why he got outclassed.
People need to stop discrediting this man in this way...it's repugnant....people want to act like the opponents he has beaten are nothing....yet there is a large group of people pre-fight in almost all cases who talk the other guy up.......why do they feel the need to talk them down once Floyd beats them???? The same people on here and all over the internet who have hate in their heart for Floyd are the same ones who said he would never fight SSM because he is a true welter, too big, too strong and too good....."Floyd will never fight Shane after what Shane just did to Margarito"......now the same posters are spamming NSB with threads saying SSM is too old, too slow, too inactive to beat Floyd.....effectively discrediting Floyd in victory and even moreso in defeat....another thing i find disgusting and disrespectful........
i watched the demolition job SSM did on Margo 3 or 4 times....everyone should be talking his chances up, not down.
Floyd is a great boxer, and will go down in history as a great boxer.....he has fought and beaten other great boxers. He is a first ballot HOF. He is not the fastest boxer ever, not the strongest, not the one that hit the hardest, not the most durable........but pure skill for skill he is in the top 10 all time.....anyone who doesn't see that simply doesn't understand the sport. Floyd could mix it with any fighter from 130-47 in the history of the sport no matter there style, bralwer, boxer or both.

All true statements aether you like it or not. All these guys except Hatton were past there prime and Marquez is a lightweight

you can pick apart anyones resume' and claim that the fighters they beat were fading....
For example: I can say that
Cotto was coming off a close SD win
Clottey was coming off a close SD loss
DLH was coming off a lackluster UD
Hatton had been KO'd by Mayweather a year prior
Little Diaz was coming off an MD
I can go into detail how each guy was fading when Pac fought them but itd all be subjective, just like your list.
Whats an undeniable FACT is that the last 5 Mayweather opponents were all coming off spectacular KO wins.
Mosley didnt fought for 2 years
Hoya fought once in 4 years when he fought FLoyd
JMM is featherweight
HATTON is lightweltweight
BALDOMIR a guy with 50 losses?
hatton a lightweight? say what
So what? Manny Pacquiao's last five opponents all came off knockout LOSSES. Try to beat that streak.
Clottey was knocked out by Cotto???? Check your history dude
So what? Manny Pacquiao's last five opponents all came off knockout LOSSES. Try to beat that streak.
Clottey lost a SD to Cotto
Cotto SD'd Clottey
Hatton KO'd Paulie
DLH UD'd Forbes
Diaz MD'd Montano

Hatton started at 14o junior welterweight, Mayweather started at 130 superfeatherweight. Hatton has always been bigger than Floyd especially last night!

Hoya had fought once in 2 and a half years, same as Floyd is doing now.
Mosley has been more active in the last 2 and a half years than Floyd
Mayweather/Baldomir was really a former 130 guy fighting a 147 guy(who was 160 on fight night)....
Marquez doesn't count. The rest are good wins for PBF though.
Would it have counted if 160lb Baldomir had beaten Floyd, who was 135 just 3 years prior?
Mosley didnt fought for 2 years
Hoya fought once in 4 years when he fought FLoyd
JMM is featherweight
HATTON is lightweltweight
BALDOMIR a guy with 50 losses?
:bottle:
funny.....here i thought he was a Jr Welterweight :dunno:

How u figure Marquez doesn't count??!! Floyd hadn't fought in 2 years and dominated P4P #2 in the world
Crikey. It's not worth arguing. I give PBF full credit for every single win he's ever had except Marquez. If you need me to explain why, you're assed out mate.
