Everybody needs an angle and boxing can pretty much always use mouthy guys. Even mouthy guys who can't back it up because they will eventually get exposed.

I knew Amir would go this route. For various reasons, he has the qualities of a great heel, someone people would love to hate. He's also a stablemate of Mayweather now, so I'm sure he's taking notes.

Not to sure if I like him or not at the moment, when he is thinkin he is on the same level as Pacquiao and Mayweather without fighting nothin but b-class fighters, Obviously Pac man would have him stretchered out the ring in 2 rounds and Mayweather would give him a boxing lesson and out-class him in every department.

You know here in the uk we dont give a toss about bad guy good guy, thats why mayweather is loved over here as is pacman. mayweather maybe more so, all we care about is talent. to be fair a lot of people were happy to see hamed soundly beaten. although of course most of them deny it when you ask them now. and yes it does seem like khan is looking to make a bit of mark lately, but he seriously doesn't have the charisma or wit for it. might just be the twitter thing though, everyone seems to turn into a dick once they log into twitter.

How did he pop off on Mitchell? In fact it was the other way around. Khan was probably asked about Mitchell by a member of the British press. I very much doubt a fighter of Mitchell's stature is on Khan's radar at the moment.

I would still be a firm fan of his if he would've faced Maidana. I'm no huge stickler for honouring mandatories (some absolutely suck and don't make sense, i.e. in the case of Haye), but Maidana was a real live opponent who posed a significant chin test for Khan. That he chose to duck him, for whatever excuse they claim, instantly made me revoke any support I would've had for him. His subsequent bravado and attitude has put me right off, as well. He wasn't always like this. Fuck him up, Malignaggi!

I was a fan of his but when he popped of on Froch this week after a hard fight and is fighting less then stellar opponent in his next fight also. He will never be as popular in the Uk as say Hatton for obvious reasons which i wont go into. So yeah i would say market himself as a bad guy.. bit risky tho given his chin rofl.. Yeah t the end of the day his glass jaw will be the deciding factor...lol. Him being the bad guy would be pretty fun he might as well go for it. It worked for Floyd.
