I am a BIG Froch fan, i love his exciting style, massive heart and great chin, also he is English which is a big factor.
I always had Arthur Abraham down as the future winner of the Super Six, and now, i honestly can't see my man beating AA, in fact if he doesn't start aggressively and keep his guard up from round 1, i see him getting taken out around the 9th.
I hope i am big time wrong, but with both guys needing a win to progress to the semi finals Abraham will take this.
Anyone else agree, or disagree??
Yes he did...he got beat down by a brawler nothing more. Taylor was on shaky ground by that point anyway and he still boxed somewhat well in the fight. He had no stamina or anywhere near the punch resistance to win that fight. Had taylor been prepared mentally and physically to fight he could have made the fight alot better if he would have boxed all night.
So Taylor didn't prepare properly? That completely contradicts everything said about his very long camp before the fight, but maybe you know something the rest of us doesn't?
Also it'll take place in Germany. Froch will need a KO.
Likewise in the UK I think. It has to be in Denmark. :)
Poor Jermain Taylor. Got outboxed and KTFO by a guy who cannot box at all. SMH.

Yes, I agree. Froch impressed me against Kessler (which I never thought would happen!), but Abraham's style is totally different. There's an element of 'roboticism' to him with the high guard and low activity rate, but when he punches it's like getting hit by a truck. Every shot he throws is a devastating bomb, and very fast as well. He loops them, but they're quite clever in that he'll feint a weaker punch and load up on a sneaky power punch.
Froch's power, whilst dangerous, is not on the same level as that of Abraham. Plus he wouldn't get through the watertight guard. As far as the fight goes, Froch would score a lot of rounds on activity and keeping his man at bay with the jab, but would eventually get KO'ed when Abraham decides to let rip. His chin is good, but not that good (especially if one bears in mind that Abraham's chin is literally made of metal). And obviously, there's Froch's utter lack of regard for defence.
Soooooo... I'll say Abraham KO9.
Froch is gonna whoop his ass, he will be able to make the fight ugly enough to be effective and beat possibly even stop AA. Froch has a method to his madness and AA cannot box at all so as soon as he get stupid Froch will start landing on him.

Abraham has to work Froches body. Froch will throw manny but land few because he has not the speed and skills like a Direll to counter Abraham when hes throwing punches. So when Froch throws much and gets hit good to the body from time to time he will be tired in the late rounds and Arthur can finísh him. I want to see just a bit more workrate from Abraham. I also want him to use his jab more, his jab is better than people think and its powerfull. You can see it in the Taylor fight, Arthur was landing pretty well with his jab.
My prediction:
Froch will need to use movement a lot in this fight if he has any chance. But we all know, Froch won't use movement. He's got a weird jab and it seems really awkward how he just flicks it out like a whip at the opponents face. He doesn't get much power on it, so it's not going to deter someone like Abraham from charging forward.
Abraham has a high guard, so Froch's best bet is to work the body. Froch will probably headhunt regardless. Throwing his wild looping hooks which gives Abraham the perfect opportunity to land a punch.
Abraham's best bet is to charge Froch down from the opening bell, moving him around the ring and into the ropes. Froch isn't going to move Abraham around, he'll try and trade. Even if he does try to control Abraham, his jab isn't good enough to do so.
Abraham via 7th round stoppage.
 That last sentence of your signature is great.
I'm a big Froch fan as well but I got the feeling his was intimidated by the size of Kessler which is why are breaking through his guard with some solid punches, he backed off far to often and allow Kessler to re-roup and come back at him. Abe has a solid, high guard and has a very intimidating style which, the longer the fight goes on Abe will gradually wear Froch down and stop him late imo. But Froch has a chance If he really takes it to Abraham and doesn't back off when he's got his man rattled like he did vs Kessler.
I guess everybody now knows that AA can be outpointed by a skilled speedster.
Froch's skills gets highly underrated here so he maight be better than AA in that department but I think it's fair to say that Carl is just as slow as AA.
I'm sure this will be a battle for the ages. Both men has strong wills. Perhaps the venue will be the deciding factor? I hope not as I'd love to see the fight on neutral ground here in Denmark.
I see I'm not the only one who's been enjoying Carl's interviews too much,
"The Cobra sting, the uppercut if you like..."
I've taken to adding "if you like" (with a Notts accent) to every other sentence in tribute to Carl, hahahaa . . . drives my girl nuts.
Carl is a minor phenom. Long may he run.
Haha you know it Carl is a ledge on the mike, night out in Nottingham for the Dirrell fight was one of the best i've ever had.

Do you say "Unknown quantity" as well?
Froch has a very solid (not 'granite') chin, but Abraham has the power to short-circuit anyone if he lands clean . . . and Carl is hittable. Augurs badly IMO.
So I agree, although that won't stop me from keeping the faith.
If Froch is knocked out, it will test my casual fondness for Abe, that's for sure.
It is a solid chin yeas and as you say, Abe has the ability to 'kill anyone, but with Froch's tendancy to be 'lazy' if you like, combined with Arthurs Impenetrable defence, i just can't see it. BUT as i say, i still pray Carl can do it.
Arthur Abraham was disappointing in his last fight out. He is coming for Froch's head. If he doesn't KO him, he stops him around the 7th, 8th, 9th round.

carl froch is unshort-circuiteble, the closest he will get to a ko is a TKO with him most likely on his feet

I think its a great fight and very hard to choose a winner. AA style may give froch a chance in the first 4/5 rounds where he can throw alot of pucnhes and try to pressurise arthur. But we all know, usually AA comes on strong in the later rounds, this will be the key imo,if froch can take AA punches and throw back and be active, froch may have a chance of victory
