Yeah I got ya, I just think that the added significance and the fact that I have more riding on it will mean the Mayweather fight will be the better watch for me.
So's Montiel to be honest, although I'm rooting for him. Hasegawa is a bit weight drained though apparently, so that evens it out a bit.
But VS was like 38 or something like that, which is ages for a bantamweight.
Although it is true that Montiel seem to be going over the "prime hill".
All of this remins me that VS was some pretty incredible fighter...
hmm... I mean my point was which one will be the better fight? Not which one we should watch, but I hear you.

I think Sahaprom is a great fighter, and Montiel is only a good fighter. But Sahaprom was getting old at the time.

Too hard to pick. Entertainment wise Hasegawa v Montiel could be fireworks.
But Mosley vs Mayweather will be the biggest fight since forever.
I was asking about entertainment, but I think Mosley-Mayweather has the potential to deliver a lot of entertainment too.
Great weekend ahead!
To be fair I don't think this Montiel is far ahead of that Sahaprom if at all, so it's not like this fight will be at a level that Hasegawa has never experienced.

Has to be Mayweather v Mosley. It's basically the biggest fight we can possibly make in the sport outside of Mayweather v Pacquiao, and I have a lot more invested in it than the Montiel v Hasegawa fight. Although I'm really anticipting that one too, both are excellent boxers and I'm a fan of Montiel.

But you never know, his best wins came against a great, but quite old man.

if mosley knocks down mayweather than that fight is better but if mayweather wins by decision like he always does, than the hasegawa vs montiel fight will be better
did you mean knock out?

mayweather vs mosley will be the better fight if maywether decides it to be.
It depends on Shane too. He would not be the first Mayweather opponent to give up when behind on points (Judah, Oscar...). It takes two to make a war and it takes two to make a stinker. When Mayweather has been under aggression all through the end... we often did not see the end. (Hatton, Corrales, Burton, Chavez... Shane is better so we would most likely see fireworks till the end of the 12th, even if he was getting tattoed). If it's a Mosley W it will be a great fight. If it's a Mayweather W it depends, but I think it would be good in that case, since Shane does not seem the type to simply lay back if he falls behind. I see the fight going the distance, and being a helluva fight.
Even then, what if Hasegawa is just too much for Montiel? What is that fight going to look like? Could it be a one-sided beatdown?
Hasegawa looks great, but you never know with guys who fight out places that are not US. Sometimes they are the worldbeaters they look like, sometimes they are not. I would personally say Hasegawa looks like the sh!t, and one of the best fighters out there today. But you never know, his best wins came against a great, but quite old man.
All in all, I expect two good-to-great fights this weekend. I am hopeful.
Mayweather - Mosley is fought at a higher level but both are graet fights.
True that, but the level is quite high in the other one too. If it turns out to be good, it will be good boxing too. Not gonna be anything like a Gatti fight.
cnt believe this thread actually exists just the build up alone beats Hasegawa and Montiel
I am glad the build up makes the fight for you, but I usually look at fights, not countdowns, and it's not so clear to me which one will the better fight out of the two.
