From The Great Floyd Hater, Scoop Malinowski and it goes with the other Floyd thread about him not looking right at the Presser.
====================================
A strangely subdued Floyd Mayweather looked uncomfortable and spoke with little passion and vehemence at today’s final press conference for his May 1 showdown against Sugar Shane Mosley.
It was a curiously stark contrast to Mayweather’s demeanor during the 24/7 episodes and many of his other press conferences.
There were several instances at Wednesday’s press conference where Mayweather did not seem to be himself. First, Mayweather was late to come out to take his seat on the dais, eventhough publicist Kelly Swanson made the announcement that Floyd had arrived. The result was Floyd made everyone including Mosley, wait several minutes after the scheduled 1 p.m. start. Richard Schaefer decided to start the proceedings minus Floyd’s presence on the stage. When he did finally step up, Floyd looked uncomfortable and blank as he hid his eyes behind sunglasses. In recent memory, I can’t recall another time when Floyd decided to wear sunglasses at a final press conference.
Then after everyone spoke his piece, Schaefer and Leonard Ellerbe took turns to introduce Floyd when it was his turn at the dais. The undefeated boxer appeared uncomfortable as he repeatedly sipped his drink from a paper cup, while listening to the overly generous and distorted praises sung in duet about him. It almost seemed that a part of Floyd, attired in a suit, tie and vest ensemble, is ashamed and embarrassed about the immature behavior he showed on the recent 24/7 episodes. When Floyd announced his final statements about the fight, the tone he took followed the lead of Shane. All of Floyd’s words were of a classy nature, exactly like Mosley, which was quite the contrast to how Floyd typically carries himself in such situations.
One part of Floyd’s speech especially stood out. When he tried to pat himself on the back about keeping his training team intact for his entire career. “I believe in loyalty. I’ve been with my same team – from the beginning to the end.”
Was that a Freudian slip? Does Floyd subconsciously sense “the end” is near? I would not rule it out based on what transpired at this press conference.
Rumors are also buzzing that Floyd is suffering from a cold this week. At no point did Floyd’s presence convey the eminence that this was the world’s best fighter in our midst – as, I can assure you, in my experience covering the sport, all the great fighters always do when they are at the peak of their powers. Something seemed off, something seemed vulnerable – whatever it is – about Floyd Mayweather. It seemed like he didn’t really want to be there.
Based on today and the fact that Floyd didn’t really want this fight in the first place, I’m sticking with the Mosley by KO prediction. If Mosley still has the same fire he showed in the Margarito fight, he will eliminate Mayweather.
This time Mayweather is the one who got handpicked, not the other way around. This time Floyd has to fight the best at 147. This time Floyd knows he can’t play around and pot-shot with someone like Shane Mosley. This time he will have to put his skills up against a modest but formidable force that is more than capable of knocking him out.

I wish some Floyd fans quit making excuses before the fight, anyways my prediction hasn't change 10-2 Floyd. I see Mosley looking good the first 2 rounds but nothing impressive but just good enough to possibly win the first 2 rounds. After that I have a feeling Mayweather Jr will let the inner beast come out and take over the next 10 rounds. The first 2 rounds of a fight usually are fighters trying to figure each other out.
Jesus Christ, I predicted this fight! And in all seriousness Floyd did great tonight, I wish he fought like that more often letting his hands go as much as did tonight. Floyd beating opponents up like this is fun!
think about it. The sunglasses to hide his blood shot eyes. He came out late even though he was there because of paranoia. He was sipping out of his cup nonstop. (signs of being nervous). and he was acting weird.
All those point to signs of smoking some fire ass kush.
:rofl: he did sound tree'd up!!
Jesus, it's amazing how little you guys know about the sport. Check the date of this post:

Hey Guys,
Over the next few days, during the final presser and into the weigh-in, you will see Floyd's demeanor change. He will become much more placid and serene. Even tentative. Some novices read that as him being nervous, and his haters always think that it is him getting scared close to the fight.
It is actually Floyd calming himself down to get into the fight mindset. Analytical, calm, dispassionate. Since he is a thinking man's fighter, he brings a different mental approach into the fight.
I'm merely telling you this so that when you see the posts and threads about how "scared" Floyd was at the presser or at the weigh-in, you know who the n00bs are.

listen donkey.... i said he looks like he has a f*cking cold....
besides, you quoting yourself bares no meaning into what others know about the sport...
:dunce:
why dont you just post the link? Some vids have the embed disabled, even on youtube. I only made this thread because I heard what some said about Floyd not going off in the presser and I knew that Scoop would make an article saying that Floyd seems scared and sure enough he did. However, during the presser there were more than a few people in the thread saying that Floyd didnt look right and something seems odd. I didnt pay any attention to it and just took it as him having his game face on. I had the stream of the presser but only saw like a minute of it and it kept going out so I couldnt tell.
Then though I saw what Scoop said about the rumor and that made me really start wondering because he hates Floyd and would never give Floyd any kind of excuse. Then I saw your thread about him and someone in it was saying that he looks like he has a cold. Then in your thread or another one, I saw someone say that he was blowing his nose alot during the presser so that got me thinking that the shit may be true. Fact is that there are no excuses on fight night and no one is going to give you an out, espically if youre Floyd but I do want to see these guys at there best and I dont want anything to make them change the way they were going to fight.
I would like to see your vid though. Just link it
well, because of the way espn has their site set up you cant just link to that ONE vid...
go to www.espn.com/boxing and click on the "whats not to worry" video, its the fourth one over currently
cold or allergies or SOMETHING.... maybe he ate a STIFF jab in sparring... but something is up...
i wish that damn vid could be embedded...

LOL, you're right. mayweather was probably high.
lol shane looked high himself when they arrived in the mgm with his pink shirt. his photo is thier with the one with the interview on the homepage. they probably smoked together who knows lol. they played ball together...
Pull, the man is 40-0 so stop making it sound like Floyd fans make excuses all the time.
floyd fans make excuses for ducking fighters all the time, so its not a stretch that they'd make excuses for losing.
I bet you will find another one when he wins "again"
another one what?

stop with the excuses!!!! I don't wanna hear shit about a cold unless you got a slip from floyd's doctor. fukk that bullshit.

my guess is that he was probably high as fukkk going into that press conference!!
my guess is ellerbe was tapping that ass (no homo) just kidding flomos
Nah, I dont believe in excuses but if you have a cold then you have a cold. No one hates Floyd more than that writer and he's the one that brought it up. As for the JLC fight. I think he won anyways so that dont matter to me and I think he will win this one also

cold or no cold, he's a fighter.. I'm sure he's boxed being ill before, u kidding me? Floyd is the most accurate fighter.. even in an off night
It all depeneds on who you are. As a Wizards fan, guys like Arenas & Blatche are beast but I always knew that if even a little thing went wrong then they would let it get in there head and they would suck. If Floyd really is acting different because of the cold then he may be one of those types. However, I think he just had the game face on and was focused. I also think they will have the best doctors and if he is sick then he will be ok by fight night but did it change his mindset. Im just a superstitous guy like that. Hopefully its nothing though and if he loses then I wont say that it doesnt count because he had a cold
I actually just took it as him having his game face on. Its too close to fight time and he's focused. Im not making excuses. I just like for everything to be perfect. If Floyd fights Shane & Pac, I dont want them to have colds either. I wand the A game and may the best man win
