I dont remember if thats exactly what he said but he said something close to that. The way he said it is what Ive been saying all along. He was saying something like he has too much power for Floyd, too much speed, Im just too much man for him all together. He said something like that but the way he said it you can tell that he just looks at Floyd and thinks that he's just too small & weak to deal with him.
Ive said that a million times on here that all the WW's want to fight Floyd because they just look at him in person and think they can break him in half. They think they are much too big & strong for him. That he has no way to keep them off of him and he cant hurt them in anyway. The good thing for Floyd is that he's probably bigger now than he's ever been but I still think he looks alot smaller than those guys and the JMM fight makes people think that he's bigger than what he really is.
BTW, this was all on the Mayweather-Mosley fight preview on Direct TV. Have you guys seen it? They have one for every big fight. Floyd also said something good on there about how he gets no credit and he says that alot but what he said this time made alot of sense if you heard it. I just turned it on again but it was only 1min left so I missed it. Ill try to catch it again later on
So, let me sum this up.
Mosley said something, but you can't remember.
Then Mayweather said something that you can't quite recall.
Good thread.
hahahah. feel me though lol
What caught most of my attention is when Mosley said "You're gonna feel every bit of me". That made me think Ali Frazier.
yeah man, that was some hard as shit. Aint nothing like boxing. Then Floyd can back at him like "youre going to have to make me respect your skills". I love it
He isn't going to outbox Floyd. Floyd's jab > Cotto's jab.... Mosley loss to Cotto because of the jab.
I don't think Mosley has much of a chance outside of a puncher's chance against Floyd.
He doesn't have to "outbox" Mayweather per se. The fact that he can box and is also a hard hitter with a wealth of experience makes him dangerous enough.
Shane's not no dummy though. I dont think he will just be dumb & bum rush Floyd. I think he will use his style which is power boxing. I think his game plan will be to keep pressure on Floyd and dont let him breathe but do it at a measured pace. Someone brought up Oscar. Oscar had all the advantages but he didnt press the action. Shane will but he also wont just come at him like Margarito. He's going to be like boxing Floyd but stepping forward while doing it.
That way he's not just trying to beat Floyd in a boxing match and he's also not just rushing head 1st. Its like the perfect mix to where Floyd wont be able to consistently pot shot and get away. Measured pressure and letting his hands go. He probably says that Floyd can pot shot all he want because he wont win. Ill outland him like 10 to 1 even if they arent all clean. Then late thats when I will really start cranking it up and walking him down like I did Margarito, Mayorga, and Cotto. I start being the aggressor and walking those guys down at a fast pace and throwing bombs. I think thats the game plan but I think Floyd will be on his game. I think this fight could shock people and be very action packed with Floyd letting his hands go alot and alot of times starting the action
That is a huge mistake.
Floyd grew up fighting bigger men. Floyd regularly spars with MW's and SMW's. Mayweather gave up 10 pounds to Castillo and 14 pounds to Oscar.
Shane may win...but it won't be the strength
BTW, Ricky Hatton said the EXACT SAME THING.
Yeah, that's what got him knocked out. IDK what he was thinking. He could barely handle Louis Collazo. Shane is an entirely different beast.
Mosley is capable of boxing or bullying. He doesn't need a KO here. It would be nice but if Zab Judah and Oscar De La Hoya can win rounds, there is no reason to think Shane can't too. With an effective strategy, he could shade this.

I also forgot to add that I got the sense that he meant it also like Hopkins vs Tito. Like its just going to look like a man vs a boy in the ring in terms of size, strength, physicality, and experince. Like Floyd is just going to be in over his head and is not going to know what to do. Shane was genuinely confident when he said it too. Like he just knows it for a fact and I think thats how all those WW's felt about Floyd. They see him in person and they watch him in the ring and think that he has no chance or at the worst its going to be a close fight where they can get there biggest pay day.
On the flip side, I get the sense that Floyd is starting to realize that all of them feel that way and thats why you hear him start to make the comments about fighters see him on TV or from the outside and think its going to be easy when they get in the ring. Like they say he's not that fast, or he's not that strong, he doesnt hit that hard, his D isnt unhittable. You can tell Floyd knows how they feel and one of the 2 will be right
I saw this on a direct tv spot. Funny stuff, but Mosley is right. I think he needs to bully Floyd in the ring, and trying to outbox him isnt going to work because Floyd is too good defensively. I still got Mosley to win. WAR MOSLEY!!!

Nah dude, thats what he said. I just might have like one word off but thats what he said. Floyd was saying that he never gets credit and seemed really upset about it. He beats someone and they are too old, he beats another guy and they are too small, he has the biggest PPV's but its always because of the opponent, and so on. He was like I cant win and when I beat Mosley they will come up with something else
Well, people have only tried 2 ways to beat Floyd.
Outbox him
or
Bully him
None of those methods have worked so far. I don't think it will work for Mosley either. Oscar tried it at his comfortable weight, with his perferred gloves, with his perferred ring size and the "bully/too big for him" method still didn't work.
