Floyd shouldn't get credit for beating Mosley...

OK I am going to go step by step since you're having no reading comprehension. I personally think Floyd is going to win a decision. However, I think Shane has a really good chance of winning this fight. So if Floyd win he will get all the credit in the World from me. For example if I would think Floyd(who is #2 P4P in the world) had only a puncher chance of beating Pacquiao(who is #1 P4P in the world). Then I would and should not give Pacquiao credit for beating Floyd. Because, I didn't think Floyd has any chance to begin with. Now for the record that is just an example of course I think Floyd could beat Pac. I think that fight is a 60-40 in favor of Floyd. Now are you following me so far? Now forget the P4P rankings and the names for one second. If fighter A is fighting fighter B and fighter B has zero chance of winning then fighter A is cherry picking. And, fighter A should not get credit for beating somebody who has no chance of winning. Do you want me to make it more simpler for you? nope i completely got what you said the first time which is why everything that i said is still correct. you believe (by your own admission) that the p4p #2 and p4p #3 could possibly be a cherry pick if the #3 has no chance of winning. this is incorrect. if the #2 and #1 guys failed with their negotiations then the next best option that #2 has is the #3 guy. IN NO WAY IS THAT CHERRY PICKING regardless of whether or not #3 has no chance. #2 can't help that he's just that good. there would literally be nobody else for him to fight that wasn't cherry picking if the #3 guy wasnt good enough and #1 guys negotiations fell through. so it is not cherry picking because #2 is picking the strongest possible opponent (even though he may not be that strong).

true, but i disagree when people point to shanes win over marg as a pre-cursor in what may happen on May 1st. TBH marg just stood infront of shane all fight, no movement, no jab no nothing. We all know floyd mayweather, great boxing skills, great timing and great defense. Looking forward to a great fight on saturday True. I saw a few flaws in Shane against Margarito, signs that he's slowing down. So had Margarito. But Shane showed a lot in that fight. He followed a gameplan to perfection, threw with power, speed and accuracy. Showed his solid beard, stamina and worked the body. That was a junior middle fight and Mosley is better suited for 147. Save for one fight against a washed up Vargas, he has looked terrible there, dating back to the Raul Marquez fight. At 147, he's an entirely different animal. A young, fresher Cotto (barely) bested him but no other welter has been able to do a damn thing to him since Vernon Forrest. He was crafty, almost brilliant against Collazo. Shane has slowed down some but he is quite formidable. TS is right.....but the thing is, the Floyd fans NEED to downplay Shane in order for them to feel safe about whats going to happen....its like a psych job for themselves......they know Floyd hasn't REALLY rumbled since '07 and hasn't fought a LIVE opponent since Castillo.....they know this!! :cool2: I'll admit I laughed at that. lol.

According to his fans, and if he wins by close decision it would be worse according to his fans. I say this because according to his fans Shane Mosley should be easy prey for Floyd, if Mayorga could "outbox" Mosley, there is no reason why Mayweather should have any trouble with Mosley or lose a round against Mosley, all of this according to his fans. They make Mosley sound like a cherry picked opponent, so when/if Floyd wins I don't want to hear anyone say Floyd is the best or shit like that because according to his fans Mosley isn't on Floyd's level so why should he be given credit or celebrate that victory, obviously I know I will see threads adoring Mayweather but it is wishful thinking on my part. Now if Mayweather loses he would have lost to a guy that got supposedly outboxed by Ricardo Mayorga so that would make Mayweather a bum. The point of all this is seriously if you want people to recognize Mayweather for what he is, try not to downplay his opponent, it's getting ridiculous and these are the same people that will later preach about Mayweather's greatness but right now if we let ourselves be lead on with what Mayweather's fans it won't mean much because that was supposed to do. Floyd has to get credit if he beats shane, shane has to get credit if he beats floyd, simple

Before the fight was all signed and agreed, people were saying that floyd was scared of shane, and that shane is coming of biggest win of his career, now the fight has been made and the fight is almost upon us,people are now saying that floyd shouldnt get any credit for beating shane. It confuses me

How is it my logic? Explain? Like I said I give Shane a good chance in beating Floyd and I think Shane would beat Pac. So they each get credit for beating me... But, if Shane or anybody else had zero chance in beating Floyd or Pac then Floyd and Pac are cherry picking if they don't fight each other... If I think Floyd has zero chance of beating Pac. Or if I think Floyd only has a punchers chance in beating Pac. Then Pac would be cherry picking Floyd and vice versa... Floyd is great Shane is no bum I got that. But, if Shane has only a puncher chance then he is cherry picking Burner. Floyd should be fighting somebody who has more of a puncher chance for it not to be called cherry picking... Berto and Alexander are not bums. But, Pac is just on another level IMO. And, neither of those fighters have a chance in beating him. And, if Pac fought them Pac would be cherry picking. I think Pac would just destroy them does not mean that they are bums. It is more of a testament to how good Pac is then how bad they are. But, since I am only giving them a puncher chance to no chance then Pac would be cherry picking... One thing though. Im a fan.
