So I have only seen live fights on tv in the 80s 90s and this past decade. I have seen a lot of great fighters. Leonard was voted fighter of the 80s, jones jr of the 90s and pacquio this past decade. I think roy jones has tarnished his career. My top 5 of the past 30 years in order is. 1. Leonard 2. Chavez 3. Pacquio 4. Hagler 5. Mayweather. I thought about lennox lewis, roy jones but couldn't do. It
Duran and roy jones are tough choices as duran was untoucheable in the 70s and jones jr in the 90s but. They both stayed way past their prime and have way too many losses to top my list. The person who said tyson lol he doesn't even make top 20 in my eyes
The best fight of this generation if not all time (at least I've witnessed live) is unquestionably Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao is the #1 p4p because Floyd retired for a year, not because he's better. In fact, Pacquiao isn't any better than a prime Castillo. A premier fighter doesn't get triple uppercuts from Joshua Clottey, right through the guard. Pacquiao is a train wreck waiting to happen. It's sad people will only give Floyd the credit he deserves when he retires for good. Haters, suck my fvcking balls.
LMFAO.. wahaha!!! wahahah!!! wahahah!!! more? :))
Actually he did. He buys time before he fought Hagler, he waits for him to get older. SRL also declined to fight Pryor. Pryor publicly Challenge him but he said no.
Excellent point. SRL wanted no part of pryor. Pryor was taxing that a$$ when they were amatuers in the olympic tryouts.
and who u think should be there?
Pac as #1 is baffling to me. I know he has accomplished a lot of things. That said, without the WBO and IBC he wouldn't be a 7 div champ. The others didn't have this luxury.
I think Pac is a good fighter. I think he has beaten some great names. I just question where they were in their careers. And I question the fact many fights were at catchweights.
Top Rank has matched him correctly and done a great job of building his opponents up. I just think he has a way to go before he makes that list.
its a toss up between the pacman and sugar ray leonard. for sugar ray leonard, he has proven his versatility, he was not only a boxer, a slick one but he was also a fighter-puncher. he never ducks anyone. for pacman, his accomplishments speaks for himself aside from being an epitome of a true professional fighter, he comes to the ring to fight, and never speaks ill of his opponents. he is a complete gentleman out of the ring, but inside it a savage monster who place boxing fans in high regards that he always gives his all to entertain. he gives back my money's worth by disregarding his own safety. " hit and not be hit" is BS to him, no pot shot always committed in every punch he throws NOW thats a FIGHTER. "knock me out and you win" he says, ill go with that anytime of the day.

I'm 42 and seen all those 30 yrs of boxing. For me Pacquiao surpassed all the fighters in the last 30 yrs.
Pac tops the Greatest Super/Featherweight era with wins against JMM, EM And MAB. Already the only 7 weight Division Champ and he's not done yet. And a former Flyweight dominating the Welterweight Division in a strong welter era.
I have my top 5 like this:
1. Pacquiao
2. SRL
3. Duran
4. Hagler
5. Hearns
I dont think PBF, RJJ, DLH, Lewis or Sweepee were Greater than that 5 in my list.

Not if he fights Floyd brother. Pac is a great fighter but that style clash is in floyds favor by a mile. It can really back fire fighting Floyd for Pacquiao.
in the end we will see bro, we will see, I also dont care if style clash, size or reach does not favor PAC, I still want to see PAC-PBF to happen, I want to see PAC make a point ...

"Sugar Ray Charles Leanard"
No doubt.

Agreed, and it pains me to admit it. Ray Leonard is the best fighter of the past 30 years.
