In a recent interview, pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao blasted multi-division champion Floyd Mayweather, calling him a coward and claiming that the undefeated fighter is jealous of his own achievments. “We have seen him make excuses and accusations when I agreed to fight him, even going too far by destroying my reputation and even foolishly trying to become his own Boxing Commission. I believe he will continue to demand outrageous and stupid ideas, should he beat Mosley, only to mess me up and not actually fight me,” Pacquiao commented when asked whether or not he thought Mayweather would be willing to fight him should he defeat Shane Mosley this weekend. “I still think he is scared of me,” he added.
Currently focused on his political campaign as he vies for a seat in the Philippine Congress this May, Pacquiao took time out of his busy schedule to talk about what he knows best, boxing, and to share his thoughts on the this weekend’s highly-anticipated clash between Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley. “I think Mosley has a great chance of winning. I expect him and his team to come up with different plans to fight Mayweather who I think will run all night,” he commented as he tabbed Mosley to pull off the upset. He then wasted no time in taking Mayweather to task to remind him exactly who the more accomplished fighter really is.
“Mayweather still has to beat Mosley if he wants to fight me. In all my fights, I never predict the outcome. If a knockout presents itself, I will take it, but I think, should Mayweather ever challenge me, it will be a fight between the greatest offense against the best defense in the sport of boxing,” Pacquiao stated in an interview with boxing website boxinqtalk.com. “Mayweather and his kin thought they could push and intimidate everyone they choose to and by doing so, gain instant advantage even before the first real punch gets thrown. I just think he and his team are scared of me and are very jealous of my achievements because I have surpassed him.”
As for his own boxing career, Pacquiao made it clear that he has no intention whatsoever of retiring any time soon. Regardless of the success of failure of his political campaign, Pacquiao assured his fans that, at he very least, they can expect three more fights from him. “I will continue to fight as long as I think I am capable and healthy to give the fans what they like. I think I am still good for three more fights,” he added. “Before I retire, I would like to leave a legacy and be known as the man who changed the face of boxing.”

im tired of people saying this, have you forgotten that most likely this interview was done in pacroids native language and it was tranlated to english?
tards man
how are the asian chicks treating you?
:lol1:
Don't you mean his native language is Bisaya? Then Tagalog, so English is really his third language.
I'm not so sure how reliable that source really is. It's weird how they didn't mention a single thing about his election.
if an interview reads pacman speaks english fluently then it must be fake or edited... i have never, ever, ever heard pacman speak english fluently... even after his fights..
I think the interview were done in tagalog, in his native language, then were translated right after to english. It is really unfair to judge manny's intellect just because he couldn't express what's inside his mind well when his forced to speak in english. I've worked with him before as a photographer and when you talk to him in tagalog in some serious matters such as poverty in his homeland, you will hear and feel what's in his mind and heart, you will see the true manny..
Did Hearns or Duran aura get busted after they lost to lesser opponents in the twilight of their careers? Nope
They are still awe inspiring to this day. Like someone said earlier, Pac's legacy and status are sealed and the rest is just icing on the cake.
As usual you play fast and loose with the facts. The test was in the contract from the beginning.
Yes In the initial contract Floyd insisted for an olympic style drug test already and team pac accepted right away, but pac and his team thought just like in the olympics were 2-3 random test were usually done the entire olympic schedule. The problem begun when floyd insisted that it has to be 8 random blood test atleast during the entire training period. And at that time they were only left with 8weeks of preparation, meaning they will be tested atleast once in a week. That is too much distraction for team pac to handle, maybe with floyd sticking a needle in his arms is just second nature and won't bother him at all..
That doesnt sound like him.... or the him the public see's.
Yeah i dont think Pac made those statements...
This is a BS article man lol, there are no real sources.
if an interview reads pacman speaks english fluently then it must be fake or edited... i have never, ever, ever heard pacman speak english fluently... even after his fights..
Not the best, but not bad either for not being his 1st language and being someone who is not supposed to be very book smart

Even with all these multiple divisions and belts. There is nothing overrated about winning an 8th title in your 8 weight-class... If it is so easy somebody else would do it or be close to do it. In the last 30 years nobody has come close to doing it. That says something. Is nothing overrated about it...
Am actually confuse when it comes to Pacquiao and english speaking, Sometimes he comes across like he understand but sometimes he comes across like he doesnt, This interview doesnt sound like him.. Unless there was an interpreter present.
Ask him any questions about PED's and watch his English speaking capabilities magically regress.
you mad homo...?
stop eating kangaroo shit and you'll be just fine. :lol1:
I suppose that was an insult on my nationality,eh? Say what you want, but you cannot dispute that you have no knowledge of the sport besides delusions of Manny....
Open your eyes, there is a world of boxing without Manny and Floyd-move on,study the sport,or find a new hobby, because this is looking more like a phase for you that will pass when Manny retires!
Coming from a flomo. Look at the mirror buddy. nyahahahahaha
Generic insult, but at the same time I give you credit for not lying and saying you are a boxing fan!
btw-just because I see through your B.S. doesn't make me a "flomo", little girl.
Being suspected of taking roids, avoiding drug testing, and ducking the best fighters like Mosley, Martinez, and Mayweather will take a hit to his legacy. People will always say he had a great career and a good resume, but he never beat Mayweather and the other guys who called him out. People always criticize Floyd for ducking certain fighters and people have been doing the same with Manny.
Erik Morales and Marco Antonio>>>>>>>Martinez & Mosley as far as ATG, legacy, career and resume. I see whats going on tho...your just mad that Floyd's got the negative stigma of ducking fighters so your trying to project it on Manny as well. Sorry but people will never say Manny ducked fighters (atleast not the boxing scholars)
Stop with the whole awards bs because most of those awards weren't around back in the day and you didn't have all these stupid belts.
FOTD and FOTY awards weren't? damn I guess Ali, Robinson and others must have created a time machine because they sure as hell got them as well.
Beating a past prime Morales, was outboxed by JMM, Cotto was damaged goods when he fought Pac, Clottey is a B-level fighter, DLH was way past his prime and shot, Hatton was done after his fight with Floyd.
How many fighters has Manny fought in their prime? When was the last time Manny fought a fast slick fighter?
So why do you want him to fight Floyd? I mean he is a hype job who beat tailor-made, shot/old fighters...so why are you complaining that he didnt fight Mosley and Mayweather.
It does matter when you go around calling yourself the best fighter in the world and best p4p fighter in the world. If he's going to move up to 154 for a belt he should be fighting the best not cherry picking on the weakest champ at 154.
Manny never called himself the best. Matter of a fact he said "he doesn't see the big deal and that he is an average fighter" on the lead up to the Cotto fight.
He's not going to get any credit for beating JMM even if they fight at 135 because Manny is way better now and JMM is declining. Pac is in his prime and JMM is at the end of his career.
You brought it up and I only co-signed.
Fact is that team Pac would not negotiate a fight with Mosley unless he came in no higher than 142? Are you in denial about that? And you can say it was "all Roach" but when has Pacquiao ever opposed anything Roach has said?
Fact is that arum was already negotiating for a cotto/pac fight to lure cotto back in with arum and keep the business in-house. And that mosley's name only came out as an alternative. And didn't all you haters remember, that all of you were all against the mosley fight because of the catchweight 142lbs and its pretty unfair with mosley. Thus you were all in agreement with the cotto fight instead and in a 145lbs catchweight, coz it's pretty near the weight cotto just fought in the last time, last was at 146lbs for cotto.
