I keep bringing up the fact that Mosley can definetly hurt Mayweather, but for whatever people just dismiss it as an impossibility.
Mosley can crack man. He's no Tyson but the dude can certainly punch HARD.
And while i definetly believe that Mayweather has one of the better chins in all of boxing, the guy can definetly be gotten to, as shown in the video.
Im still torn on this fight. I want Mosley, but i think mayweathers defense might be to tight and we will probably be looking at a very controversial decision. And by Controversial i mean thousands of anti-mayweather fans who dont kno how to score a fight will come on here and cry that Mosley won the decision, where the reality is he hardly landed a punch.
And the same time, i could definetly see Mosley's strength and size taking its toll on mayweather, and possibly making a very strong run down the stretch to tighten the fight on the cards.
I also definetly think Mosley takes the early rounds cause he is will start fast, and Mayweather typically starts slow.
And Lastly, i do think this stylistically shapes up to be a very entertaining and competitive fight. Mosley is NOT the 3-1 underdog that oddsmakers make him to be. He is a very fresh 37 year old man, thats for SURE.
No "Mosley was old" excuses after this one. The guy can still fight without a shadow of doubt. AND he has maybe the smartest boxing mind alive today in his corner.
I justwanted to say that I get to watch the fight for FREE!!!!
This thread alone just goes to show how great Floyd Mayweather really is. We are having a discussion about a guy being rocked for about 1 minute in a fight. We are not talking about the time he got knocked out or the time he lost that one fight but remember he got rocked that one time. Wow! How many fighters can you attach this situation too?
It would be nice if this discussion was about him all the great fighters Floyd fought without being hurt. He has won a ton of fantasyfights that way.
mosley was robbed against forrest and winky.
pacquiao got ktfo by flyweights not featherweights , foolio.
Mosley got his ass kicked against Forrest and Winky. I don't keep up with who KO's Pacquiao. You obviously know everything about every single fighter in boxing. Congrats.
floyd looked his best at 130.
not 140 or now. I give him credit for all 3 classes. I've been saying Chop chop rocked his ass for bout a month to all the pro mosley guys that put out the arguement "Floyds never been hit clean", and "how will he respond blah blah blah". Chop chop did Cotto even worse. Its boxing, your going to get hit and get buzzed from time to time. Doesn't take away the end result. When your accurate, with good timing any shot can take your legs away. That's why I say Mosley's at risk to be knocked out at as well. Mosley was buzzed by both winky and forrest and neithr one of them are ko artist. We're in for a good night of boxing. 5 days left

thats an interesting point, well said
Huh?
Of course he is a much better fighter (he has seemed to have gotten smart) now than he was against Chop, who is arguing that he is not? He gained alot of experience at 130 and 135 before fighting Chop @ 140, that is all I was saying.
i think Mayweathers best weight class was a little lighter then now, maybe 140 was his best weight. cause he had the perfect blend of power and speed
but he is a better fighter now, like you said, cause of the experience he gained.
He also seems much more durable. Not more powerful or a better chin or anything, but i feel like he could absorb more punishment now then he could have at a lower weight, especially to the body
Good, then you just gave the haters more ammo to hate on Floyd. I don't know what the **** you people are seeing, but I think Floyd is 10x better then he was in that Corley fight now! With each passing fight you gain more and more knowledge.

I have always had my question marks over floyd's chin...is it suspect? NO...but I have always thought he was vulnerable, floyd is brilliant at not getting in the wrong way, thats if you can hit him at all. A couple of times in this fight he was hit flush with shots he didn't see and that is pretty rare, he didn't react too well, and corley is far from a devastating puncher but shook him up pretty good, I definitely think shane has the power to ko him but im not sure if he can hit floyd with these kinds of shots. Floyd may have been guilty of not respecting corley's power enough, and the southpaw stance created these opportunities for chop chop. Floyd really hasn't made the same mistakes since, apart from a couple of times against zab.[/QUOTE
Agree, it's not that I doubt Shane could KO him I just don't think he'll get near to get those shots off. Footwork and movement will be the keey to the fight. Mosley will not be able to walk him down and I can't say I've seen anything that suggests Mosely will be able to equalise that.
It says a lot for Floyd when you can really only compile about 20 secs of clips of him taking decent shots over his entire career and you don't have any clips of him in a real flap.
Dude had alot of experience before fighting Chop.

ok floyd was stunne still came back won the round. mosley been stunned mroe times than floyd. they are boxers and boxers get stunned and hurt. if mosley only chance is a punchers chance which i give every and any boxer then he will lose
Badly?! Care to put up the clip of Mosley getting rocked "BADLY" against Forrest? About Pac getting KO'd by featherweights?
wtf read my post this is NOT- ANTI MAYWEATHER.
And why in the world would u bring up Pacquiao this has nothing to do with him
Southpaw/Orthodox does it really ****ing matter? Floyd was inexperienced at that time and probably didn't even take Corley too serious before the fight. Mayweather Jr., definitely takes every opponent now adays serious. Mayweather Jr retires Mosley after the beating he'll receive this Saturday.
Dude had alot of experience before fighting Chop.
.........
we all kno MOsley can be hurt, and all kno his chin is also granite.
point is, anybody can be gotten to.
I think people are mistaking this as an ANTI-Mayweather thread. IT IS NOT
?
i never believed the southpaw stance mattered too much...?
and thats not even my point. my only point is that mayweather can be hurt, something nobody on here seems to believe is possible.
it does, or at least it did to a fighter like mayweather...he was pretty inexperienced with southpaws at the time...nyways, not the only time he's been stunned. he wasnt rly hurt tho. if u saw the whole fight, ud see he shook it off rather easily.

well actually lemme revise that. he is more squared up and then kinda twists back into southpaw.
not rly a strong point but i dont think the stance rly matters that much
