I am trying to see flaws that mosley is making that floyd can expose.
1. mosley gets off balanced in every round
2. marg was jabbing mosley w/ ease and floyd is way faster than marg.
3. mosley keeps his hands down while he fights
4. mosley throws wide hooks
5. mosley doesnt have much head movement, but was slipping margs punches but im not sure if he can slip floyds.
6. when mosley gets opponent on the ropes, mosley drops his hands and goes to the body, and mosley is wide open for short quick uppercuts.
7. Mosleys jab doesnt have much power or speed behind it, but it sets up the quick and powerful right hand.
8. if shane thanks he hurts you he goes all pac-man on you(wild wide punches and only goes for a KO)
I hope richardson has corrected the majority of these flaws. Im sure he has, cuz they went thru the whole mosley/berto training camp and they are going thru this may/mosley training camp.
1. How many times has Shane been knocked down in his career? Because if someone is constantly off balance, shouldn't they be knocked down more than once in 50 fights? Also, 1 of the goals in this camp is to not fall into position to get countered.
2. Do you really think they even worried about Margarito's jab in training camp? I don't think they even worried about Margarito's jab because it wasn't a factor. I can't see Naazim not preparing Shane for Floyd's jab.
3. He's usually out of range or misjudging distance when he has his hands down. He will get caught a few times because of this though.
4. Yes, but they're fast. Mayweather can take advantage of this, but he has to be really on point.
5. One of the goals of this camp was to increase head movement, that's what the sticks and towel are for. Kessler increased his head movement in 1 training camp, it can be done.
6. Again, he's doing this at a high speed, so it's going to be very tough for Floyd to counter. And even if Floyd lands his counter, Shane will land his body shot. It's better to block it with the arm or move away.
7. Shane better mix up the use of his jab if he wants to be successful with it. Flicking out his jab won't work for too long.
8. They're fast and pretty accurate, just look at the sequence when Margarito's hurt, he lands almost every shot consecutively.
Shane won't fight Floyd like he fought Margarito. Of course Shane looked like a virtuoso technician in that fight, but it ain't his usual style. Floyd is too fast for him to use that same plan against.
Majority of the people who are picking Shane to win are letting their hatred for Floyd cloud their judgement.
Shane gonna be outclassed. Everyone will see come May 1st.
EDIT: Oh shit, wrong topic. I had two windows open. :lol1:
I saw all that, but to be fair, a lot of that was just him being angry at Margarito. He was throwing bombs from the get go, trying to hurt him as bad as possible. I hope he keeps his cool better against Mayweather, because if he doesn't, he's ****ed. I think he'll try to be more technical because he knew that Margarito wasn't skilled enough to punish him for his mistakes. Instead, he focused on throwing the biggest punches he could to try and crack that chin. It worked. So I think he'll be more tactical this time around, adjusting his game to meet Floyd's.
