I'm American, Kessler won, 9-3 or 8-4 (117-111 or 116-112), Froch is a confident guy but his sailor, swashbuckling style is not going to cut it at the elite level.
Im British and cant stand Froch, i did have him winning though, although i need to watch it again because that was from watching a stream, which as you prolly know is not the best way to score it.
From what i saw Froch would answer most of Kessler's attacks with the harder, cleaner punches, there were rounds Kessler would do well in but he would get nailed good and proper with the better punches etc, i dont give fighters rounds based on 1/2 punches but i felt Froch was answering his attacks and hitting him with hard/cleaner shots, Kessler was putting on hella pressure but he did not seem to land that cleanly from what i saw, although like i said i watched in a stream so i could be wrong there.
I need to watch it again tbh.
I see no poll? Anyway I think Kessler won 115-113 straight up. Very close but he was the better boxer, better ring generalship, crisper str8 punches, pressure, defense....He fought a great fight against such an akward yet powerful & relentless fighter in Froch....I wouldn't argue it it were 115-113 the other way either but feel Kessler did more to win.:boxing:
If I were to type a reply, it would look almost identical to this.
