i dont know but he seems to be a very bias guy and it seems like he hates floyd but my point is that he is suppose to be a journalist and it seems to me like the guy has become a very bias s.o.b
Listening to his online chat, he sometimes comes across as being pretentious, pompous and dismissing of the casual boxing fan. However, he's a great source for boxing news and usually gets the story first....
I think the problem, and this is happening to alot of journalists these days, is people don't differentiate between their "blog" and their News stories. If you're reporting something, you need to try to be unbiased, (more and more bias slips into the reporting end of the media every day)..
However, if you have a blog, or a mailbag, its free range for you to be bias and express your opinion.
a news story and a blog shouldn't be confused... you can discuss stories in your blog and make opinions, but you aren't supposed to post opinions in your reports.
This is true. And with boxing there is so much time between big name fighters fighting, yet still so much online coverage of their words and deeds, eventually you run out of real news to report and you just end up giving out opinions on this, that or the other. Besides, in sport, like politics, there's a whole lot of stuff to report and other topics to give an opinion on. Dan Rafael does both and it'd be pretty damn boring if he and other boxing writers/commentators just stuck it down the line.
I actually think he's correct with a lotta things he writes. It's just the truth hurts with some people.

That said, i've seen it happen in my line of work (radio) where a news anchor, also does an opinion show, and people began to discredit his news because of his opinion show, listeners can't seem to seperate the two.
Nobody cares about Dan Rafeals OPINIONS. He's obviously biased and hates Mayweather. You just take what people like that say with a grain of salt and know who's saying it.
I think hes an idiot.. i mean does anyone really take this guys opinions seriously? i think only casual fans listen to him cos he is there to be listened to.
yea I agree, he needs to talk more boxing and less Mayweather
yea i agree with you but he takes a shot at mayweather every time he gets a chance thats not good journalism
