Floyd won a SD against (lets face it) a past his prime DLH. I hear flomos say floyd is gonna dominate and floyd is gonna KO mosley... that's some ole bullshit. Thing is, Mosley has always been a better athlete than dlh and mosley is in better shape than DLH was when DLH fought floyd.
I don't see floyd dominating or KOing mosley. its gonna be a SD either way.
People are gonna say DLH has a jab. Well, like Nazim say, you can't say mosley gotta do this or that because mosley brings his own problems to the table. mosley don't have to fight like dlh. And mosley at his best is enough to beat floyd. but mosley at his worst would lose to floyd, just like a floyd with 2 broken hands and a messed up shoulder would lose to mosley.
some of you mofos need to get your head out your asses
I already answered this. Oscar brings things to the table that trouble floyd. Mosley brings different things to the table that trouble floyd. This is no different than wat nazim has already said.
oscar always struggles with mosley. believe that. mosley has the right combination of attributes to give oscar competitive fights.
Alright, that's fair enough. I'm sticking with my final prediction of a 116-112 type decision. Not exactly the easiest fight in the world, but a fairly comfortable decision for Floyd. I HIGHLY doubt we'd see a knockdown in this fight unless Mosley somehow got caught with something really deadly to the body.
You know what, that's fair. You have your view on the fight and I have mine. I can respect that. At least you're not making ridiculous statements like "Oscar got robbed".
But I'd like to know, what about the Oscar fight makes it certain that Mosley will give him trouble? Mosley and Oscar are two completely different fighters, not to mention in two different weight classes and Oscar's early success came from his jab before Floyd neutralized it, which Shane obviously would not be able to do as effectively. And to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if the Oscar that Floyd beat were to beat Mosley right now.

even if you slow-mo'ed and turned down the volume, you already are watching the fight from a bias.
as for the 100 punches that oscar landed, are those your punchstats or compubox punch stats?
in any case, there's no such think as an objective viewer.

This sounds like you are making excuses for Mosley just in case he loses. You are saying that the only way Floyd wins is if Mosley is at his worst.
I think it will be a good, competitive fight. However, I still believe Floyd will win handily and possibly stop Mosley late. As for Oscar, there are a couple of points that need to be made. 1) The fight was Floyd's first at 154 2) Oscar outweighed Floyd by 15 to 20 pounds at fight time 3) Oscar PICKED Floyd's gloves for him. Do you actually think he picked gloves that would give Mayweather the best opportunity to win the fight? 4) Oscar threw over 100 more punches, but landed 60 fewer punches. In spite of the split decision, that is an example of DOMINATION! Also, I thought Oscar won the second fight against Mosley.
dumbass, I'm saying the same thing you are. it's gonna be a close fight. I don't see floyd dominating mosley.

Not at all. I actually took the time to watch it in slower motion with no volume just so I'd know for sure. I'm not knocking those judges at all because a fight like that can be really hard to score as its going on, but it honestly doesn't take much to see that the fight was not really that close when you rewatch it. If Oscar could only land close to 100 punches...Just average that out, and you can even give four rounds more punches and more power punches and you'll still end up with a clear Floyd victory. You cannot come close in a fight where you get outpunched that much.

its you're watching the fight with your floyd-goggles on. everybody has a bias. there was 3 judges on that night w/ 3 different biases.

any body can tell dela hoya was bigger when floyd fought him compared to when shane fought him, both shane and oscar fought mayorga at 154 so either base there fights on fight night weight or the weight division.
and your point about prime didn't you just get through saying that mosley victory was more impressive simply because mayorga was bigger remember you kept mentioning 170 and nothing about prime...
if were discussing prime then why wouldn't oscar's victory over an in shape and only once stopped mayorga be more impressive????
dlh being bigger wasn't necessarily a good thing
the weight issue and the prime issue are 2 different things. We have to speak about them separately so as to keep things simple.
oscar's victory over mayorga was more impressive than mosley's victory. But if oscar fought the same version of mayorga that mosley did, i doubt he'd be as impressive.
So you're willing to accept DLH-Sturm as a victory for DLH? You're willing to accept DLH-Mosley II as a win for Mosley? You're willing to accept Whittaker-Chavez as a draw? You know that's not true. You can't just pull for the judges in one situation because it supports a point you're trying to make.
its a case by case basis. you can't just generalize. that's sloppy.
And that's the thing. Those rounds couldn't have went either way. Mayweather DOUBLED the amount of punches DLH landed. If you turn the sound of that fight off and watch it, you'll see that DLH is hitting nothing but thin air for a majority of the rounds. Floyd never once looked uncomfortable, and he was able to neutralize the jab that gave Oscar success in the early rounds.

shane fought dlh at 147 and 154, and both versions of dlh were closer to dlh's prime than the one that floyd fought.

floyd didn't dominate dlh.
struggling with your opponent means that the rounds could go either way. depending on what the judges prefer.
judges ain't always right, but they're the ones who scorecards count.

Ok lets try this again.
What did you score the fight how hard is that to answer.
What was your score.
the official decision was a SD. that's all you need to know
wait a minute so weight matters, weight divisions matter???
floyd never fought a fighter as big as oscar and never fought at that weight division before either..
hell, floyd fought the bigger oscar than shane does that make his victory over oscar better?
shane fought dlh at 147 and 154, and both versions of dlh were closer to dlh's prime than the one that floyd fought.
point is mosley fought a bigger version of mayorga than dlh did.
weight matters. why else are there weight divisions in boxing.

and floyd didn't fight oscar at 147 like he's doing with shane, so what's your point?????????

I agree floyd fought a very close fight against dela hoya but should have been a clear win for dela hoya, even his own father admitted it.
LMAO...cheese on bread.
apparently jerry roth likes oscar more than some of you cunts who gave floyd more than 7 rounds vs oscar......and jerry roth only gave oscar 5 rounds vs trinidad :lol1:
floyd won but some of you cunts overrate everything he does, he was way inactive and contrary to rigged copubox numbers, oscar was blocking very well early, he just gassed late like a rich guy with boxing as a hobby should
It wasn't close in my opinion but I do agree that Oscar blocked alot of those shots. I wasn't all that impressed with Mayweather's performance but you have to take size into consideration; also the size of Mayweather's gloves. Main reason Oscar was able to pick off alot of those shots. I also agree with Mayweather having been inactive in there, Floyd could have done so much more and chose not to.

If Oscar gave Floyd a hard time, what makes you think Mosley won't? | BoxingScene Community
