Diaz just lost twice to Malignaggi and Marquez didnt do a thing in his last fight. I want to see this rematch as much as anyone but PPV is freaking crazy. Wasnt it just last year that HBO only did 3 PPVs? I thought they learned their lesson, now it's right back to the same old BS. I swear this sport never learns from it's past. After Golden Boy forced Jones-Hopkins on us, now they are forcing out of weight class, broken Mexicans on us.

Marquez-Katsidis after this. Unless Diaz somehow gets it going again, beats Marquez (like he was on his way to doing last time), and Diaz-Katsidis II happens instead. Either outcome is fine by me. Good fights all around.

This fight sucks the big one. I know Arum and GBP don't get along right now, so I guess that leaves out Soto, Petersen, and Valero offed himself anyway. But why not Timothy Bradley? He's not that much bigger than JMM and doesn't punch that hard and I'm sure HBO would've picked up that fight. JMM signed to fight Diaz when he could've become the first Mexican fighter to become a four division champion even after the Khan fight fell apart because Bradley was still without an opponent when this fight was signed. HBO is not interested in this one after all and that's why it's going the PPV route.

He lost to Paulie who's a slick boxer. But I'm sure didn't hurt Diaz. You can say he was never that good or he lost focus somewhere down the line, maybe after the Diaz loss, but to say he is shot because a few loss is stupid to me. But either way I won't buy this on PPV. I'm surprised HBO didn't pick it up. The fight itsef means nothing, that could be why. But it would be another great fight, with most likely the same result. I would have JMM winning by knockout around the same time he did last time.

How is Diaz a shotfighter? So he lost a couple fights...you can make the arguement and say ok he was never that good to begin with. I just don't see how he is shot. Dude is what 26? Only real war he was in was with JMM the first time.

According to Kevin Iole's Twitter. Live on PPV through Las Vegas If this fight is at 140 lbs then Marquez definitely ducked Amir Khan (who offered more money and a title shot at 140 lbs). I doubt that since that was on regular HBO while this is on PPV...
