I mean SERIOUSLY. Get off that purple you groupies. Sure, Floyd can beat Martinez, but there's nothing easy about fighting a bigger, stronger, fast southpaw.
I'm sorry, I'm not gonna dance with you tonight troll. Good night...peace.
Yeah, when all else fails play the "troll" card lol. You couldn't answer the question. Simple as that. But why should I be surprised when you used Kirkland Laing as an example for why Pacquiao would beat Duran.
lol tbh i thought calderon was a good example. he moves around alot and has excellent footwork and balance. he doesnt really plant his feet and shoulder roll like floyd.
btw why does that guy in your avi look like he is in the middle of taking a sh1t. Not to be funny but he has that "constipated" look on his face....lol

Ohh...I agree with you on that. I will admit me saying Martinez has the best footwork might be a reach. I totally forgot about Calderon, and there are prob. a lot of other fighters that I might be forgetting.
FWIW you also gotta factor in the type of pressure Pwill was putting on Martinez. No one has ever put that type of pressure on Calderon and if they did he would get caught off balance more than he usually does.
My thing is outside of Pwill, I have never seen balance issues from Martinez (and I have watch him fight several times). I think its unfair to gauge his footwork off of that...just like its unfair to say May has bad footwork due to Hatton catching him off balance and almost dropping him. It happens to everyone btw.
How many fighters do you know that are constantly moving as much as Martinez?

Did Mayweather go down? yes or no. Did Martinez go down? Yes or no. And Mayweather moved plenty against Corrales.

im sorry o, but theres no way he has better footwork than may. he trips up a lot, he jumps in and out and his ring generalship is up there, but mayweather' is the best. his pace is wayyy tooo fast, thats why he tired in the later rounds. all of these are factors of foot work. all of these are things mayweather is brilliant at, for instance, when was the last time u saw mayweather tire out in the middle rounds of a fight???
now how can u say martinez has better footwork???i cant picture that...too much wasted movement. if u ask me, his footwork is more comparable to a guy like dirrells than it is to mayweathers. both r very good, but just a notch below mayweathers. im not een saying mayweather would win a fight between the two but his skill is on a higher level.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I mean people are saying he has poor balance due to the Williams fight, but that's the only fight I have seen that happen to him. My thing is this, people keep bring up balance as a reason why Mayweather is better....but the more you plant you feet the less likely you are to be off balance.
Floyd does a great job of being a great defensive fighter with limited foot movement, I'll give him that.BUt to use balance as a reason I think is a bit unfair since one is constantly moving and the other has his feet planted more.
Again he wasn't moving nearly as much as Martinez was. I can tell you this....he was caught off balance and almost dropped by Ricky Hatton....why? because he was moving around more than he normal does. I mean it should be obvious, the more you move the more you are susceptible to being caught off balance.
Did Mayweather go down? yes or no. Did Martinez go down? Yes or no. And Mayweather moved plenty against Corrales.
Man one of those when Pavlik pushed him down and another was due to their feet getting tangled up. If that's the case Floyd has bad footwork due to Zab almost dropping him and catching him off balance.
That's a part of footwork. And if you want to use that as an example, that was one fight and Mayweather's body never touched the canvas. Only his glove did. So who has the better footwork? The guy who hits the canvas or that guy that stays on his feet? Since you want to use that.
How many times did Mayweather go off balance vs 6 foot Diego Corrales? Or Phillip N'dou? You're looking for excuses now.

where are guys getting that he is off balance a lot? As far as the moving around part....I'm just saying the chances of getting caught off balance greatly increases the more you move around and go in and out. How many fighters do you know that are constantly moving as much as Martinez?
I mean it's easy for Floyd to not be caught off balance when most of the time he has his feet plant, either shoulder rolling or using that high guard defense.
Mayweather moves his feet. That excuse won't cut it.
Yeah his last two knockdowns. He also fell to the canvas more than once against Pavlik. Emmanual stewart pointed out the problems with his balance. Do you need any more?

thats not necessarily true imo in regards to fighting taller opponents and being on the move. calderon is the smaller man in every fight and he like floyd has some of the best footwork and doesn't get off balance like sergio does. actually i believe there was a clash of feet. if you look closely this appears to be the case. id post a yt video but the site is down atm.
sergio didn't give a whole lot up though. pavliks reach is only a bit longer and williams leans in and givens up his height allowing himself to be hit easier.

well you gonna be off balance when your facing taller opponents. Also when you move constantly vs standing in a stationary position like Floyd does with that shoulder roll your gonna be more prone to getting caught off balance. Don't believe, rewatch Hatton vs May when Floyd was moving around and hatton staggered him.
I mean to use Williams and Pavlik is a reach don't you think. The height and arm length that Martinez gave up, combined with him moving around constantly and coming in and out (he really didn't have a choice) is a big reason as to why he was off balance at times. Put any guy like Floyd or Shane in their and they will get caught off balance as well.

Why is that every time someone doesn't say Floyd is the in a certain category it's considered hate? You guys are way too sensitive when it comes to having opinion on Floyd vs other boxers
If you've noticed, no respectable poster agrees with what you said. Because it's obvious that Martinez does not have better footwork than Mayweather. I've also noticed that whenever the topic of Mayweather comes up, you take the opposing view against Mayweather regardless of what the topic is. Example: If somebody posted: " Mosley's defense is better than Mayweather" you would probably agree with it based on what I've read. I don't think Mayweather has an easy time with Martinez. I also think at 160 Martinez would be too big. But you're not keeping it real.
reach, speed, footwork, size etc....all advantages. Not only that he puts combo's together better than anyone Floyd has ever faced
Martinez has better footwork and handspeed than Floyd. I mean it should be obviously to any person who isn't biased (not saying you are btw)
I think that applies to you actually. As much as Martinez is caught off balance it would seem to make it obvious his footwork is not better than a fighter with exceptional balance. You can hate Mayweather all you want but your statements are shockingly inaccurate. Footwork is based on technique and it's not close between the two.
