You know, he's a great fighter and I would have wanted him to beat Pacquiao, but he's starting to get on my nerves. Is it just the public persona or does he truly deep down believe he's the best of all time. Robinson and Ali fought a far better quality of opponents than Floyd has.
If he's seen Sugar Ray Robinson fight, no, he can't. At welterweight Floyd would have succumbed to the true mastery of Ray Robinson. He was the best fighter ever lived.
Ali is obviously greater than Floyd too

I thought he broke it down himself pretty well. He's given 30 years of his life to the sport of boxing, and i imagine his goal was always to be the best ever. He trains hard and always fights at his best, & has never lost.
We don't have to agree with it, i don't consider him to be the GOAT, but if that's how he feels, then so be it.

yes i believe so, he keeps on repeating it over and over to anyone who cares to listen. something up there were loosen. hes delusional. he also believes that a side meth when taken will make bullet bounce off from once body. sheeesh
I think he was meaning that he has to think he is the best of all time. If he didn't think he was the best, he would be short selling himself. He oes not give proper credit though to other fighters, SRR would destroy Floyd.
no matter what floyd says, no matter how ridiculous, his delusional fans will defend it to the death.
I never heard micheal jordan say he is the greatest basketball of all time. NEVER. I never heard him say im better than wilt chamberlain, im better than magic johnson, etc. He might have thought it that way, but he never said it publicly.
And for the record i never said i ****in agreed with the guy...

What ever dude he played basketball, its a completely different sport. Boxers talk shit, theyre modern day gladiators. Theres no white dude named david stern telling them to shut the **** up when they run their mouth. You run your mouth the refs have it in for you, like sheed and chauney billups. Awful comparison
Your first post sucked. Nothing wrong with thinking he's the best of this era. He is disrespecting people of the past.
And you obviously don't know much. Ali said that Robinson was the best of all time, he idiolized him and Robinson idiolized Armstrong.
Spot on man!
you damn right he feels he's better than ali and robinson and he has that right---he's always said he's the best fighter ever---why would he box and not believe he's the best ever---he has gone on record before and said he's the best---you don't go in the ring and risk your ****ing life just to say somebody is better than you---i love srr and ali---and i feel srr is the greatest fighter ever, but i believe floyd is the most skilled fighter ever---floyd has every single right to say he's the best ever and he believes it truly---which is why he's said it on more than a few occassions---
i know if i turned pro i would say i was the best ever if i had a career like floyd did coz that's what every fighter is supposed to think---that's confidence---there ain't way in the world i would go out there and bust my ass, train like an animal and say somebody else is better than me--no way possible---it's not my job to think somebody is better than me--it's there job---this is why floyd has been so dominate---so so dominate---because he truly feels he's the best fighter in history----
everybody can agree or disagree with him if they choose---ali said he was the greatest didn't he? i bet srr felt he was the greatest---this is floyd's era, and he has the right to say it---not everybody thinks ali was the greatest fighter ever, and not everybody thinks srr is the greatest fighter ever---there's no way of knowing who is truly the greatest, coz everybody is subjective in their own way----there's fighters that fought srr that floyd would beat and vica versa---i don't care who likes floyd or can't stand him---you mother****ers aren't in the ring doing what he's doing, so **** what you think---he has every right to make the claims he does----
I mean honestly, what the hell do you expect an athlete of that caliber to say? You think Michael Jordan would have said someone was greater in the sport of basketball than he was, or Barry Bonds in his sport? There's no way in hell. These men dedicate their lives to their craft, literally ignore the luxuries many of us delve into to accomplish greatness and you're questioning whether or not he's sincere in his beliefs? You may not agree with him, I don't, but he has every right to say it. Because when you're sleeping, he's up at 3am running 10 miles in the desert. When you were younger, and you and your boys were at the mall? He was in the gym, training to become what he is today. As he says, he's given his life to the sport, and he's accomplished greatness. Why wouldn't he say he's the greatest of all time? If he believed otherwise, I wouldn't respect em.
It's the fights that make great fighters not necessarily the skills. Skills-wise Floyd is something special, maybe he is the best... but to compare yourself to greats like Sugar Ray then you have to have the resume to match.
No, I don't think he takes it that seriously, he's just having fun. It's easy to say you're better than those who are no longer in the game. I think he believes he's the best fighter today, and that's all that really matters.
7:58 onwards mite give u guys an idea into Floyd psyche....he just can't reconcile that anyone is better given what he has sacrificed and given to the sport.....deep down he may concede he is not the greatest ever...but he won't say that......show me a boxer who doesn't think he is the best thing since sliced bread and i can guarantee you he has more L's than
W's in his ledger. Shit Carl Froch thinks he is the greatest boxer ever sired.......
7:58 onwards.....he gets a little emotional....and lays down some knowledge.
I keep saying yes, but some of his fans told me he is just hyping himself. Floyd is one hell of a fighter, it's obvious why he feels that way. He has accomplished a lot as a fighter, but we all know he is not going down on Ali or Robinson's level.
