168 would be the right thing to do.
Martinez(again) and Williams wil both beat him, and now that Sergio's champ I don't think Paul would even give him a fight due to the shit he pulled last year.
If Pavlik can make weight at MW, then why not fight the winner of Duddy-Chavez Jr.? The fight would be easy to make (they're all Top Rank fighters) and it would be a good tuneup to get Kelly back to his winning ways...
yea him vs duddy is a good fight for him to get some confidence back

He should go up to 168and fight Bute. I mean I know that's a big step since he just lost again But that's what this game is all about. And it would keep Bute busy while waiting for any of th super 6 comp.
that wouldn't be bad choice actually,he could get good money from Germany and he would knock Sylvester out
I think that fight would be a big draw in Germany; the money should be good (as you said), and Sylvester's a very beatable opponent. However, thinking about it, Pavlik's days as a MW might be over. If he's gaining 18 pounds from the weigh in to fight day, he's obviously weight draining himself...
He should try to get a fight in Germany against IBF MW titleholder Sebastian Sylvester

this is why i think their should be a rematch although pavlik said that he strugles to make 160
Pavlik was never going to do squat!! He hasn't beaten anyone except for an overrated Jermaine Taylor. He has always been one dimensional and slow as hell...yeah, he's a white hype job usually created by american boxing media...u ppl just need to face the facts that he was never anything special; he needs to continue to fight guys like Rubio. Before u guys say i am racist, if he fights Bute he's gonna get murdered.
I have never believed in Pavlik, and i always believe that Jermaine Taylor, along with Michael Grant are two of Dumbest fighters i have ever watched, in the ring.
if it wasnt for the cuts pavlik would have won the fight, agreed ??
Nope. Martinez was too fast for Pavlik and got dominated in the first four rounds. The fight would've been a lot closer, but Martinez would've still won. You could tell by his body language he was not going to let the judges robbed him of another win.

it certainly would have been more competative down the stretch. The cut seemed to take Pavlik out of the fight completely like he gave up rather than go for broke like some fighters do. Credit to Martinez though for that nice puch that opened the cut.
He HAS to rematch Sergio or he is done on the top level of the sport. Finished. Had he not been so badly cut in this fight he would have had a chance. It isnt like the Hopkins fight where he lost every round. He won a few and had a knockdown until he was cut too badly.

Agreed. Most of the posts on here make it sound like it was a 120-108 fight for Martinez...but he was very likely on his way to an "L" before he opened the cuts on the right eye. Those cuts (which, to his credit, Martinez made happen) turned the fight and opened the door for his victory. But that's no knock on him....he made those cuts happen, and he is the one who reversed the momentum...gotta' respect that.
he needs to get manny steward as his trainer. right up his alley
he needs to learn how to step back and throw the right uppercut followed y left hook....that's what he really needs.....he is too robotic
Hard to say, Martinez knew he had to step up the pressure since the KD. Then again Pavlik was getting more comfortable before the cuts
