Do people think Paul Williams will look dumb if Martinez beats Pavlik?

Other than Martinez wanting to avenge a loss that many including myself think he won, nothing at all. He looks very foolish now sitting in the crowd when it could possibly have been him winning the MW championship and because of a close W could find reasons not to fight Sergio again if he didn't really want to. Paul got greedy. No doubt. I understand the hardship Williams had to go through with Pavlik's bullshit regarding the fight cancellations. But ultimately he should've put his ego aside where that's concerned and just kick Pavlik's ass inside the ring like Sergio did.

PWill shouldve fought pavlik 1st imo but martinez beat him to the punch in that one so he will have sit and wait!!! Yeah he really screwed himself over wanting that 50/50, he woulda been KOd but still at least he would have had a shot at the titles. We've already got people on here shitting on Paul Williams over that first fight even though I don't agree with that position people take. Here's the thing. Martinez is the champion at 154 and 160. What leverage does Paul Williams have over him now other than the narrow win? Not much. I know Martinez didn't put his belt on the line. But that really means Williams should've never fought Martinez in the first place. Because he got no reward for beating him. Like I said. Goosen is doing a bad job of managing Paul Williams' career.

pauls not that great a fighter he just punches at a high volume a slick boxer will take him anyday i thought martinez beat him when they fought i had him up by 2 pts as far as pavlic goes since bhop beat him i dont see him recovering from that since hes was so favored and he made all that hype that he was gonna knock him out and got beat, it takes alot for a fighter to recover from a big loss look at hatton and cotto they couldnt and i dont see pavlic doing it either im sad too say but great for him if he does. And the reason I ask that is because if that happens Martinez is gonna take a lot of shine away from Paul Williams in my view. Sure it will make people think more highly of Paul's abilities as a fighter. But I don't see any other big fight out there for Paul Williams besides Pavlik and a Martinez rematch. I don't see of how Martinez gives him the same deal as the last time they fought when that happens. Just more of an example of how Paul's career is at a stand still because of Goosen. He gets paid decent from fight to fight. But he'll never break into the mainstream unless he becomes a recognized champ in a weight class. That's what Martinez is gonna do if he ends up beating Pavlik. It will take food off Paul's table pretty much. I think Pavlik would've went through with the fight if Williams and Goosen had been more flexible with the money split. Sure these guys like Burner can complain about how much Williams lost while they were scheduled to fight him. But at the end of the day, it's probably gonna be Martinez with those belts around his waist. Not Williams. I like Paul Williams. But I think some of his most hardcore fans like Burner fail to see how stupid Williams is gonna look after this weekend. I think he would've beaten Pavlik like Martinez is going to. He already took the shine off of Williams when he dropped him and hurt him repeatedly and pretty much outboxed him until he got tired. Paul should have taken the Pavlik fight, he got too greedy and allowed Martinez to gain the spotlight. Either way though both Pavlik and Martinez indicated they want to fight Williams so he will have a chance to make his own statement at a later time most likely even if he loses the Cintron fight.
