This is an amazing fight but don't know how well it will sell cuz of the backlash for the pacquio fight not happening. Since mayweather did a million buys against a fighter two divisions lighter I think that this fight will do much better. My prediction is 1.6 million which would make it the 4th biggest fight ever on ppv

1.8-2 million
You guys are forgetting that Saul Alvarez is the biggest fighter from Mexico right now, Bigger than Margarito I might say. He sells out every arena and he's fighting Cotto. Shit is doing close to 2 mill buys.
he is fighting a cotto with the same name as miguel cotto, miguel cotto is fighting yuri foreman i believe in june.
I'm going to go out on a limb here: 900K-1mil.
I agree that it's the biggest fight since Mayweather/DeLaHoya, but all the recent big-selling PPVs (Pac/Cotto, Mayweather/Marquez) had a latino boxer in the main event. I'm think that lacking one COULD hurt the sales in a big way, so i'm gonna wager lower-than-expected numbers.
I think you make a very valid point. However, I disagree. Latinos are just like every other ethnic group. They are serious boxing fans and they will buy great quality fights regardless of whether there is a Latino fighting in the main event and there hasn't been a bigger fight than this since Mayweather/De La Hoya.
1.4m tops!
The "mega" fights are ones that have interest from your very casual fans.
This fight gains huge interest from the boxing community but not from the random person on the street. It neither features a fighter who is idolised.
