Is Al Haymon good for boxing or bad?

Williams is with Haymon and there was no money in matching those guys up liek that since Williams could go do his own thing. The other fighters you listed are all Arum fighters and Arum hates to do business with Haymon jsut as much as he does Floyd. I fail to see how this would all be Haymon's fault. I'm watching the Berto-Collazo replay and see Berto went down to Haiti and helped out for several days after cancelling the Mosley bout. I wonder if his adviser had anything to do with that.

They have to protect his identity, they think people don't like him at all because he protects fighters 0 and tries to find the easier opponents while avoiding the more challenging ones. Which I guess most adviser and or promoters do that, but when it starts to get late in your career you should not be doing that as much. Finding the biggest pay-days with the least risks. If Al Haymon has his way, Mayweather Jr/Pacquiao will never happen because its too risky financially for him. I see everyone saying this I dont have any issues with the fights we get on HBO. I am fine with most of them, HBO got a lot of heat last year but there were some damn good fights on HBO. Berto-Collazo and Williams-Martinez were both quality fights that involved Haymon guys.

I mean by the time if Mayweather/Pacquiao happens, will one fighter be more on the slide then the other? I wonder... The fight will probably be pointless then. Or worse, what happens if one loses before the fights ever made? You blame Al Haymon completely for that and put none on Arum who was constantly in the media running his mouth while he was suppose to be on vacation not involved with the negotiations. Al Haymon is involved in the business side of the sport and is looking at thigns from a business point of view, if either the networks or people through PPV buys are buyinghis guys stuff it is hard to fault him. Polotics have always been involved in the sport, it is not like all the big fights between the best guys always happeaned in the past, infact it was easier to freeze talented guys out so the ticket sellers didn't have to lose. This kind of thing does not begin and end with Al Haymon.

That is basically correct, HBO and Showtime both bend over for the guy but he does advise alot of good fighters so he has some leverage. That said HBO and Showtime are the only games in town (really) so they should demand better product if they are displeased.
