Clottey would win by Ud or by stoppage. Berto would not throw like Pacquiao to get Clottey in a shell and Berto is open to Clottey's straight right hand and the way Berto does nothing on the inside he would get hit with Clottey's triple left hook and uppercuts.
He blew his fights against Cotto and Margarito because he didn't let his ****ing hands go enough, he didn't get robbed like he claimed. He was a clown who doesn't realize not throwing punches doesn't impress anyone.
Clottey is another fighter I've always disliked, he complains about being robbed all the time yet its his own ****ing fault for not letting his hands go. It's like his afraid to let his hands go because he fears to be countered. And then after he loses a close fight, he cries robbery because he blames everyone except himself for his defeat. Let your ****ing hands go more.
Excuse my language, Clottey's style of not letting his hands go enough bothers me.
Oh, he definitely does need to throw more. But I think he might have beaten Cotto. Every time I watch the fight, it goes back and forth. He's a good fighter, and a ****ing tough fighter.
His whining bugs me, too, though. Still like him, just because he's so goddamn tough.
How often do you watch Clottey? He shelled up against Pacquiao because he knew he would get KTFO'd if he didn't. Against Cotto, still a very heavy hitter, he came out and fought. Berto couldn't hurt Clottey with a baseball bat and he'd get busted up on the inside.
Exactly.
I'm inclined to believe the Pacman fight was the only time these guys have ever seen clottey.

Joshua Clottey would get beat by a dominant UD. The guy doesn't throw shit and sits in his lil shell all night. He would throw a lot more obviously against berto then he did against Pacquiao but he isn't active enough to win a UD over Berto. Andre would win rounds easy..

This would be a good fight. Would be more challenging than Berto-Cotto/Margarito imho. Margarito and Cotto are a target for those uppercuts and overhand rights, Clottey has that tight defense and real good accuracy.
A good test for Berto. Berto has good boxing skills, but he tends to fight his opponent's fight. If he tries to box Clottey, he can win an easy decision.
what are these boxing skills that berto has? if he has them, how come he doesnt use them?

Punches to the back of the head are illegal.. If you didnt know that then Im sorry. That punch was well behind the ear....
no, the punch was behind the ear. not on the back of the neck. i think it hurt berto and it couldve easily been ruled a KD like manny said.
Why do you not like Berto so much. He's a nice dude, and 26-0... Quit downplaying him so much.. Not just you but everyone.
i dont hate him. i just know he's not as good as his record suggests.
he's 26 y/o, hes still highly unskilled and his style sucks to watch.
what kind of logic is that?
should temple shots or shots directly on the chin be illegal too? those punches shut you off.
punches to the back of the neck are illegal becuz the brain stem is unprotected

behind the ear is not illegal. on the back of the neck towards the unprotected brain stem is illegal.

Naw.. Theres a reason it's illegal to hit back there. It shuts you off. I think it just shut him down for a spit second. He showed no signs of being hurt when he got up.

He only sits in his shell against guys who pressure him for 12 rounds with enough power, like Margo and Pacquiao. He'd come out and fight against Berto and it would be very interesting. They should definitely make it happen. Although Clottey probably ruined his chances with HBO. He should have never signed to fight Pacquiao. He should have let Foreman do it.
