grow up. Getting upset about what a man (pavlik) said about another man (manny) is gay. Nothing wrong with it, but be real with yourself. And the funny thing is, i think pavlik is a straight bum. And always have. Which i get a lot of flack for being that i live 15 minutes from youngstown. I was just simply telling what i thought was an interesting story. I ran into Kelly Pavlik at the YMCA in Youngstown earlier this week. Seeing Pavlik is nothing rare. Though this is only the 2nd time I've personally seen him. The 1st time was at a club in Austintown called The Wedge, now named Club Gossip. Anyway.........so I go over and ask his opinion on a few boxing matters. First on the upcoming Mayweather/Mosley fight. He said that Shane punches way harder than Floyd and his aggression should present problems for him. But he favored Floyd to win based on his defense and unmatched(Pavlik own words) ring intelligence. Then I asked him what his opinion was on Manny and PED's. He said that he won't go as far as to say he's on any PED's. But he said it's the equivalent of Valero (Edwin I'm assuming, though he didn't clarify) moving up, dominating and knocking out Joe Calzaghe when he was super middleweight champ. Said as much as he'd love to see that happen, it would raise some serious questions. So Manny's stretch run raises some doubts with him. Then he joked about maybe getting that special blend of vitamins and supplements so he could take on Samuel Peter. That was actually fairly funny. I always thought Pavlik was over rated. But he was likable and totally down to earth. Crazy thing is, if you didn't know him and got in a fight with him. From his physique you would think you'd beat the shit out of him. Lol Yeah, I ran into Pavlik at the park when he was running. here's what he said to me: - he said the same thing, that floyd would beat mosley, floyd will run the entire fight and refuse to engage. when I asked him if floyd was gonna pull a bhop on mosley, like bhop pulled a bhop on pavlik, he dropped his head down and looked sad. - He also said xylocaine is illegal in 49 states, and he agrees with Jeff mayweather that it's wrong. Pavlik himself doesn't use xylocaine, but see its advantages and may consider moving all his fights to vegas so he can take advantage of the PED (his words not mine's).
