In the words of your idol... "a good big man always beats a good little man"
Clottey qualifies as a good big man. He's definitely a good big man, being a Top 5 Welterweight in most listings.
Given that Clottey was the good big man and Manny the "good little man"... the way Manny handled Clottey qualifies him (Manny) as a GREAT little man.
With that said, when Flomos said that Manny would easily handle Clottey, they were actually admitting, INDIRECTLY, that Manny was a GREAT fighter...
Funny shit...
Clottey weighing in 160+=BIG man. There is nothing you say that can take away the fact that Manny dominated or put fear into a BIGGER man. Fraud would have never in a million years taken a fight with Clottey. Forget the fact that CLottey isn't a draw blah blah. Fraud just wouldn't have the balls to step in the ring with him. Manny doesn't care who he fights. He leaves it up to his promoters and he goes on about his life. Manny said once he doesn't even following boxing, he just fights. I'm sure he follows boxers of his interest whether it's his own fighters under his stable or a fighter he's about to fight, but he doesn't care besides that. What anyone says about him ducking someone would be news to him because he doesn't probably have any idea what's going on. He trains to fight, and fights anyone infront of him, period.
Clottey proved he wasnt a good fighter.

pacquiao sucks..he just fighting weight drained people..they both suck.
And Floyd just fought an Overweight Marquez and Floyd still comes in much bigger.
i like manny, but lets be realistic here. manny campaigns at welterweight just like clottey, so your point is moot. also, clottey was coming off a lost before he fought manny last month. as i said, i like manny, but lets keep things in the proper perspective.

Floyd has also said "size doesn't win fights, skills win fights" before too... so yeah. But I don't think Manny handpicked Clottey at all, him and Floyd's negotiations fell through and Manny picked Clottey which was the best choice at the time he was looking for an opponent.
This goes two ways really, Floyd stans keep saying Manny picked Clottey and Manny stans keep saying Floyd handpicked Mosley because "hes a 39 year old inactive fighter", goes two ways, both of them are as bad as each other.
At the end of the day, neither have handpicked, the negotiations fell through... Manny had to find an opponent fast and Clottey was the best one at the time, after the fight had been signed Floyd was looking for an opponent and the Mosley vs Berto fight got cancelled, so Floyd went with Mosley because its the best choice out there.

a good man does beat a good little man, that said clottey is average at best. thats not why pac cherry picked him though, because whats even truer than a good big man beats a good little man is styles make fights, and clottey was tailor made for pac.
slow, no lateral movement, coming in straight lines, flat footed, no headmovement, no boxing IQ etc.
the way to beat pac is to make him come to you, use angles, set traps, outsmart him and outbox him. marquez did it twice but clottey never had any of the qualities needed to do it. hes another guy who was gonna stand right in front of pac and try to overpower him, he has overrated skills, hes the dumbest guy in the division and he lacks heart on top of that.
he was never gonna beat pac, it had nothing to do with being a flomo its just understanding the sweet science. stop calling anyone who doesnt severely overrate manny a flomo. pac and floyd are in the same boat, extremely talented fighters who have been too protected to be called great fighters.
the same way pactards and flomos are the same. ignorant, biased and with no common sense, u are pro diffrent fighters but u think and act exactly the same. fukk this thread im not looking to get into these fanboy wars.
Whatever your argument is, it doesn't negate the fact that Clottey is a natural, Top 5 Welterweight... A Good Big Man... Manny only had one fight at Lightweight! Yeah he's been jumping around between 147 & 140, but he ain't no natural Welter. For him to handle Clottey in the manner he did, qualifies Manny as a Great fighter. And for Flomos (which u must be) to say that Clottey was handpicked is an indirect testament to how great Manny Pacquiao really is. Flomos have no other explanation but to say that Clottey was not really that good and he was hand picked. Fact of the matter is that Clottey is a top notch Welter that was made to look ordinary by a GREAT P4P fighter.
u buy into the hype because thts what hbo wants u to do. i dnt. manny is at welter right??then he should fight the best at welter, clottey isnt the best at anything. he dont have a belt, he didnt deserve a title shot, he doesnt have any buzz and he has never won a big fight. therefore he should not have been fighting the best fighter in the world. size means shit!!!!thats what u dudes dont get. size goes but so far. clottey has never been able to use his size to his advantage. i look at facts and call it how i see it. i dnt look at the hype shit sold to me by hbo and top rank. u can do that for the both of us. if u have no better argument besides he's been and hes a top 5 welter, then plz dnt bother to respond. i would rather manny fought bradley than clottey.

Very funny alright!!! Lets see how he goes against the likes of floyd or shane two great bigger men!!!
come on, if u cnt tell roach picked clottey, ur smokin sumthin. who has clottey ever beat???when u answer that, then u'll have ur answer to him being hand picked. clottey isnt great. he barely qualifies as good. he has no heart.

Every big fight Clottey has ever had he quit mid fight and lost.
He's hardly a good fighter. I don't even know why he boxes...he doesn't seem to be too interested in it.
Floyd is a punk..he fights once every 5 years .
He actually fights much more often that every 5 years. If you are indeed correct then at the age of 33 even if he was to have began his boxing career since birth he would have only fought 6.6 times.
Who "hand picked" is irrelevant... the notion that he was "Hand Picked" is a testament to the Greatness of Manny Pacquiao.
He won't be great until he fights Floyd.

Manny didn't hand pick Clottey........ROACH DID.
