This from ESB and it was on Dan Rafael's chat
Quote: Just got a call from Kevin Cunningham, who trains and manages Devon Alexander. He is still upset that Bradley and Maidana are fighting since he believes that HBO promised him that it would be Alexander and Maidana. Be that as it may, he said Devon wants to fight Kotelnik. He said, "We want the guy who beat Maidana." I like it. Considering who is available, that is a perfectly legit fight if they don't make a Judah fight. Kotelnik is a former titleholder who beat Maidana and lost to Amir Khan in a distance fight.
Kotelnik beat Maidana who everyone keeps on hyping up.
Heard Maidana was robbed from Maidana's own mouth. Kotelnik is like Clottey, Kotelinik will not let his hands go enough to beat the best out their. I'm a hater of that shell-defense. It's just a stupid stationary defensive style that most fighters can't pull off against the elites. The only fighter I can think of off-hand who did great with it is Wright.
Kotelnik? I rather have him fight Judah or Spadafora then Kotelnik...
Me too, Kotelnik would make it boring..
Kotelnik is a bum. Fight someone else Devon.
Kotelnik a bum? He might not have the glamour name but the guy is far from a bum, Too defensive though.
Kotelnik beat Maidana who everyone keeps on hyping up.
Khan outboxed him silly, Devon will easily beat him. He brings no risk to Devon.
Judah atleast for the first couple rounds with his speed and power could be interesting for the first 2 or 3 rounds at least.
Spadafora, is sitll a question mark don't know what he has left. But, he still undefeated, always had solid boxing skills, and has a trainer who was an ATG boxer in Whitaker. So he is more interesting than Kotelnik.
