Fair enough, he won against Kessler, but what else has he accomplished besides winning the Olympic games (BIG ACHÌEVEMNT no doubt there), but he needs to get tested more then against Kessler.
He has a win over Miranda and Kessler, who many people here say is an overrated bum.
Yeah, sure sounds like P4P #1 material. How the f*ck can his fans gloat about that win and then say Kessler is a bum. Retards.
Kessler doesn`t deserve to share the ring with Ward. He was annihilated, and made to look like a little infant.
Everyone always underestimate him......No way he wins the Olympic Gold, judges wont let him win, Oh Miranda is gonna kill him, he's got a weak chin, Kessler is gonna KO him, and on and on....Yet he always proves everyone wrong. So why not? Who gonna beat him?
He appears to have as good a chance at reaching the top as any of the other rising stars. I think he'll beat Green and Dirrell and probably win the tournament.
That should leave him in contention for P4P #1 once Floyd and Pac's careers are winding down.
I wouldn't call him over-rated by ANY stretch of the means. He is very talented, obviously.
He can fight inside, outside, side to side, switch stance,etc... how many fighters are effective with this at the moment?
His olympic record and amateur career suggest he is a top fighter-especially considering the fact that he hasn't lost a fight since he was a kid.
He has all the potential in the world, but I want to see if it translates into a brilliant professional career.I suspect it will, but it is early stages.
Agree with this. I don't think he's over-rated at all. It's warranted as he's shown tremendous ability and he's already been in with top 10 opposition in Miranda and Kessler. Other than Dirrell I don't see any super middle running him close. He's got a very versatile style and once he makes the top 10 P4P, he'll more than likely stay there for the duration of his career.

Andre Ward = The most overrated fighter on Boxingscene.

I think its a little harder for SMW to be voted #1 p4p, its seems that rank is kind of reserved for lww ww lmw and mw, (this may be the most w's i've used in a sentance).
But who knows, he's comming up with alot of guys that could become 1p4p, so its going to be hard for him, you've got juan ma, gamboa, alexander, valero/maidana (well probably not those two, but heres to hoping for some weird boxing shit to happen)
alot of guys are comming up, we won't know until we see more fights.
He has a lot of potential, so you definetely cannot rule him out.
Right, he has a load of talent and he will only get better. I like the likelihood of this happening.

Cmon-I really like Andre Ward-he seems like a decent guy and has many skills, but it is far too premature to wonder if he will be a p4p...
As it stands,he beat Miranda and Kessler-which is good, but he still has to get through others in this competition, let alone establish his dominance against others. The guy is only about 25 years old, give him time to guage his career....
