Anyone else hate Hopkins?

I have seen so many fights where he has rolled around and tried to get points taken off fighters by massively over exaggerating any little tap,yet do low blows and butts himself.Then there is all the ranting at commentators(steve Bunce was very intimidated) and his bad mouthing of people.He was chased out of a place in Puerto Rico for trashing thier flag,he also said "No white boy is gonna beat me" he is always moaning and never happy,and i ****ING HATE HIM I can understand why you hate him but you have to respect his knowledge in the boxing game. He is a box genius.

Hopkins has the best counter cross in the business. Hopkins does cheat a good bit in the ring, but I think it's better to cheat headbutting and lowblowing than doing steroids like so many other guys. You have to kinda admire how Hopkins cheats because he does it perfectly, when the ref isn't in view...he'll turn his man and then get in his foul, it's really entertaining actually....It's just how an old man handles business in the ring, man. Plus, Taylor was changed forever after Hopkins stole him in their first fight in round nine or ten whichever it was with that counter cross. Lemme repeat that, Hopkins make a prime Jermain Taylor, who was a gold medalist olympian, Camacho style with one counter right cross. After the first Hopkins fight, Taylor was Camacho'd. He was never super aggressive after that, and never jumped in with his jab like he used to. He was a flawed fighter and a shell of himself after that single punch.

I hate how he tries to act like he some knid of throwback fighter and all he does is hold and run in with his head and foul I mean Hopkins is very overrated IMO

what gets me is whenever a hopkins fan defends him they have to go sooooo far to like find a loop hole or something. they cant just simply defend him they go into this complicated elaborate explanation about well thats what you gotta do to get the win blah blah blah. or they say well its the refs job to catch all these fouls if the ref doesnt catch it then it didnt happen. so they basically block all the shittty disgraceful things hopkins does in order to justify him or defend him? freakin wack yo lol i must admit i've defended him this way a time or two lol..but on the real if you look past the fouling and evil ways..the man is a genious...look at his feet positions most of all look at his chin..i swear i've never seen a more perfect tuck..and the way he makes one miss...most punches look like they got him but in slow mow he made them miss by inches only to get off a gr8 counter...his tactics of course nowadays outshine his skill but sides from that he is one smart cookie

oh no doubt,he looked strong at LHW aswell yes he did and he admits he prob shouldve been lightweight a lil sooner than he was...but looken at his fights since Tarver..really only Winky had to do any weight changing to fight him..Hop himself flucuated and made some catch weights i believe

The only reason people hate Hopkins is because he destroys all of their favorite fighters.

no one points out tho how Hopkins was successfull goin up in weight tho people argue he beat small fighters but what about the big ones he moved up in weight to take down..gotta include both now he moved up to beat tarver,thats one fighter.the next 3 guys he fought all moved up in weight to fight him

The general consensus was right as well. No way was he ready. He should of fought his WBC mandatory Winky Wright instead. he was not ready at all and honestly i felt Hop won tht fight..lol no arguments tho i also see how people couldve scored it for Taylor...i jus felt HBO no matter what was going to give tht to Taylor they spent lots of time,money, and hype for him to get beat..but thats why they let him fight Hop...chance of getting kayoed was slim so a decision was pretty much inevitable...knew that hop fights slow..so haven the judges score it a lil off was easy...

Notice how 4 out of the 7 of those wins are guys coming up in weight also, Winky/Oscar/Tito also happen to be the biggest names on the resume. Tarver/Johnson are both good fighters but not exceptional, Joppy is a decent fighter at best. He's hilarious outside the ring and I love the shit he comes out with, but otherwise I can't stand his spoiling style of 'fighting' (if it can even be called fighting).
