FanHouse: I understand that you have already been randomly blood-tested, so how was that for you?
Shane Mosley: I could see how fighters would not like this. I could see how fighters would not like to give blood and to be so-called harassed or to be on notice 24 hours a day, where ever you go. I could see how it could be bothersome.
But at the same time, I kind of like it. It's truly a good thing. I think that it's great for the sport. It will change the mentality of a lot of fighters, and what they need to do to get themselves together and to get themselves in shape. I think that it's great. Everybody knows that you're clean.
It may have more of an effect on Floyd Mayweather more than myself. This is right up my alley. I love doing this.
FH: So can you tell me about the testing?
Mosley: The first time it was blood and urine. The first time was like two weeks ago, and then, he came back again the next week, and then he came back three days later.
Not sure if someone posted this already.

wouldnt be shocked if this was floyds plan to sap power from mosely and pac.
maybe he saw the pac vid of why he thought he lost to morales and liked the plan to work on pac.
now maybe thiers some cash in hand for mosley getting more blood taken so close each time to iterupt sparring and mess with mosleys preperations?.
i mean if mosley loses, and says he was affected by blood taking, floyd will just say he was on roids for every fight and lost this becuase shane had no juice?.
5 tests in the first week. Paranoia much? are they really scared someone is gonna roid up and mask within a matter of hours. And how much benefit would you get with that roids being flushed in and out in that little window.
Boxers can go near death hitting each other in the head, now theres additional tests upon standard testing, getting pricked almost every day cuz some *** was paranoid about another.
And please dont compare swimming or a 40 year dash to 12 rounds of pro boxing.
The first tests were blood and urine tests and Mosley says those tests were 2 weeks ago. Then he came back a week later, and then 3 days after that.
i heard rumors that floyd controls frequency and timing of when the tests take place.
i heard rumors that osama bin laden and george w. bush have 2 adopted childs together.
5 tests, and 3 of them were urine tests.
These are grown men that just so happen to get punched in the face for a living.
And some of you are insinuating that they aren't tough enough to handle a prick in the arm, and possible a little irritation or soreness for a day? :dead1:

well and good.
mosley need this hype. he's a proven roider.
i suggest too that usada investigate floyd's 2 year hiatus a.k.a. retirement. many are doubting he just flushed roid in that 2 year span. :(
Guys, Shane has taken TWO blood tests and THREE urine tests. Pac said urine tests were fine with him. Why does everyone keep thinking that Shane took 5 blood tests?
because ppl are blind to facts and articles when they are hating.
nyways, good for shane, good for mayweather. i still dont think pac will budge but i guess it's his right to. we as fans are gonna be the losers here, not either one of them so even tho i think the usada testing is a briliant idea, im still kinda sad that it be came an issue.
well, heres to mosely/may on may 1st!!!

Again why are some of you acting like other athletes have not gone through this? If they can, so can the likes of Pac, Mosley and Mayweather. Nothing puts them above some of the names I put out there.
They'll never get it. It's futile.
man if Floyd hasn't been tested the same amount of times that's some shady shit.. sure hope he has! but damn.. 5 tests already? I can see why Pac didn't want to do it. That shit is too much.

It gets done all the time by pro athletes the world over.....some more than others.........Michael Phelps was able to win 7 gold medals with random WADA testing...........Usain Bolt won the 100m in a time not thought possible....and Lance Armstrong won 7 Tour de France titles and is pehaps the most tested ahthlete in history......i'm talking blood and urine btw stages in perhaps the most gruelling sporting event in the world.
Armstrong does it to prove he is legit. Manny won't even do it with a $40 mil incentive on top of that. He is alittle bitch FULL STOP!!!!
how do u know this? please post a link to verify.
Part of the deal requires that both fighters agree to Olympic-style, random blood-testing and urinalysis, something which Mayweather's camp had insisted upon during their failed negotiations for a recent bout against WBO welterweight champion, Manny Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KOs).
The Los Angeles Times, quoting Burstein, reported that Mosley agreed to the drug-testing arrangement "as long as Floyd takes the same test at the same time."

Burstein is Mosley's attorney.
This whole blood testing thing is just getting ridiculous. One time a month before the fight and one time the day after. All this random testing just seems to be overkill. This isn't cycling.
