This kind of talk is ridiculous. Mosley is not some scrub and Mayweather is going to get touched. Nobody(and I don't care who) goes through a fight of this magnitude without getting hit. I see Mayweather winning but this is no easy fight and Mayweather is going to have to bring his A game.
cool, ill remember (actually ill copy and paste) your comment and reply after Mayweather totally outboxes Mosley and walks away from that fight without a scratch.
I still can't believe that George Foreman called Floyd a chicken for the way he fought Oscar. Yes, Floyd was facing a past prime fighter, but that fighter was still bigger and stronger than him. Floyd is a small fighter even at WW, and he was fighting the bigger fighter at his own weight class, he did what any smart fighter would do, play cat and mouse. You don't slug it out with someone bigger and stronger than, you'll lose in the end if you don't fight smart.
I believe he is goin to try to play that same cat and mouse game with mosley and get ate.By a very dangerous cat

Floyd can be aggressive offense in a patiently sort of way. He's not gonna be all offensive throwing wild punches left and right. The Hatton fight is a good example of that, he was more aggressive in later rounds offensively, but he did it in a smart way..
I was refering to Mosley, coming in too aggressive. Floyd's precision causes too much damage to a fighter looking for a knockout early and takes away any shot Mosley might have of causing damage by taking risks later in the fight.
I just don't see anyone seriously catching Floyd early.
I'm not drinking the koolaide. The actual fight will be Dela Hoya vs. Mayweatherish at best.... and Jones vs. Hopkins-like if Mosley gets too cautious. Either way, Mayweather's gonna be boring as usual.
Okay, it's gonna Mosley's fault. You want to bring the offensive fighter out of Floyd, you gonna have to force him to do so. If Mosley can't do it, he's just not good enough to be compare to Floyd.

It's just not a good strategy to come in aggressive against a precision fighter. Much better to go for some attrition and then take a shot in the later rounds.

He was more aggressive in later rounds offensively, but he did it in a smart way, he fought the way Hatton wanted him to and he still fought his own way at the same time, that's how brilliant Floyd is as a Boxer.

That's what some people don't understand. Floyd is not gonna slug it out with his opponents, he forces his opponents to fight his way, not their ways. Ricky Hatton forces him to fight, and he did. He still did it patiently by using his timing and instinct. It's up to Mosley to control the fight and make Floyd fight his way. If he can't do that, he's not on Floyd's level. You have to be able to do that as a great fighter. I think that's what Floyd meant when he said to Mosley, "You gonna have to make me respect your fighting skills."
This guy is obviously in denial foremost. To tell the truth, Mosley has been steadily declining since his first loss to Forrest... He barley beat Margarito and Mayorga who are C- level fighters with no boxing ability, pure slugging ability... I bet he wouldn't bet his trainer check on Mosley to prove the truth...
thata boy mosley, i hope he gives mayweather a tought fight so mayweather can perform at his best, i see mosley winning the first 3-4 or 5 rounds and then mayweather adapts like ussuall and puts on a boxing clinic, but either way im pumped for this. WAR MAYWEATHER!!!
It's gonna be very hard fight for both guys, they both are versatile and can fight in so many ways.
"When you smell the blood you gotta go for the kill" - Kobe Bryant
"You don't get tired when you're hungrier"- Floyd Mayweather
Umm I can answer. I just don't live on this forum like you apparently do. You have not answered one of my arguments. The only thing you are trying to do is engage in hypotheticals about whose opponents could beat who. My argument has never been based on who fought the tougher opposition. My argument is based on the things that Shane Mosley does wrong and how his opponents have been tailor made for him since it was discovered that Shane looks silly whenever he's matched up with a good boxer.
First I answer your question that you originally ask which was for me to watch the Mosley Marga's fight and I seen that Mosley was hardly hit in that fight No?Cotto is a good boxer No not saying he would beat May because I don't feel he would but I think he would make a fight of it.I also feel it's relevant to bring up hypothetical matches because I feel May has also been match very carefully No?If this is not true then why is he known as a cherry picker:dunno:?May's has not had a fight that I felt was dangerous in years come on be honest with your self.So talking about tailor made is really IRONIC.It's also funny that the guy's who beat Mosley convincingly were big guy's who were damn near middleweights No?Forget about the Cotto fight we been down this road before and I won't change my mind on it.COTTO GOT A GIFT.Anyway you right I'm a fiend that's why I'm writing while I'm at work.Don't worry now that May is fighting a fighter on his level you will see the holes in his game.Which I believe is lack of balls which was displayed in the Hoya fight. He can be outwork.
Oh yea and I'm at work writing off my phone sorry if everything I write is not perfect but the points I make are still valid so if you can't answer umm don't respond.

not only will floyd counter shane's body shots after he blocks them---remember shane has a tendency to close his eyes when he punches---he did it his last fight a lot---he will land on shane at will off of the ropes, and then dictate shane's body attacks---coz shanehas never dicated a fight---he just fights his ass off---floyd is a scientist in the ring and you'll see--and he will be dominated--mark these words kid---
I don't see this closing eye thing everyone is talking about. But I'll let you say what you will. But May 2 this site will be blown away.Once again I ask for someone to produce me a fighter that May beat that would have beat Mosley then I'll be quiet.
