Joe Calzaghe won 11 rounds, dominated 10 of those rounds, busted up Jones face, and didn't need to put on acts to exaggerate the effects of fouls.
And Jones seemed somewhat faster and more fluid in his movements in the Calzaghe fight, he was past-prime but not shot at that time. However, he looked awful (old and 100% shot) last night.
Only someone as dumb and delusional as you would believe that.
I had Hopkins winning the fight 117-110, but he was not impressive. He was in a fight with a guy that refused to throw punches. Calzaghe put on a clinic and mocked Jones the whole duration of the fight. I can never watch that fight again.
I don't want to offend you BHOP lovers but BHOP struggles against boxers with speed thats why he gets dirty against them. Against fighters with avrg to slow speed BHOP doesn't need to be dirty. I don't remember him being dirty at all against Ornelas. And you can't just point at Roys age and say thats why he doesn't handle speed too well, I mean he was clearly outboxed by Roy in their first meeting. Though you can argue BHOP was far from his prime when they first fought.
BHOP from what I've heard was dirty in this Roy Jones Jr fight, though I didn't see it but BHOP also headbutted Calzaghe and Wright and was clinching them to try and beat them and slow them down. BHOP however fought beautifully against fighters like Pavlik, Ornelas, Tarver(I actually forget this fight, was he clean in this fight?)
Calzaghe was a swarmer, Hopkins is a slick counterpuncher. Both won by 10-2, but Calzaghe embarassed him, while Hopkins just won rounds and took it easy.
