What should Bernard Hopkins do next?

well if he hangs em up i'm fine w that...if he choses to fight on i'll def b there watchen...i'd like to see him fight Taylor again now that Taylor aint an overhyped HBO tryna b made star....

He should fight Dawson so that there would be a lineal champion in the light heavyweight division. If he doesn't, he should retire.

Retire, I dig that you want to fight, but your style is terrible for the sport, its boring, its dirty and it needs to be out of boxing. This holding shiit, and taking breaks in the middle of rounds and that stuff has no place in such a great sport.

And those who think the Hopkins who fought Pavlik would've beaten Chad are dreaming. Not a chance. Can you imagine Dawson-Pavlik at LHW? Same as Hopkins-Pavlik except Kelly might walk into a straight left that would flatten him.

When you beat a legend.............. LOL.... you'll become a legend. I think Bhop can pull a Pavlik-like performance on a fighter like him.

Get demolished by David Haye. But it's all talk he won't fight Haye.

Now that I think about it, I say I would like to see him fight James Toney. The sh1t talk, buildup etc would be great and also both are very good technicians. It's a fight I always wanted to see and it would be a great way to end his career. As far as Dawson, that kid needs to make his own legacy. I'm tired of him going after all these old fighters and he needs to man up and face Cloud. Hopkins vs Toney would be a good fight with some real meaning unlike Hop vs Jones II. On a Different note, Dawson can't fight Cloud if Cloud only fights every solar elispe. With Dawson and Cloud being young titlists doing a whole lot of nothing, it would be great to see them fight sometime soon, but that's not happening probably.

B.Hop needs to RETIRE!!....nothing left to prove unless he gets a shot at Haye......I even doubt Haye would be interested in fighting B.Hop.....that leaves him with a CW champion or Chad Dawson as the only LOGICAL choices.........I would rather see him RETIRE!!! :cool2:

I have said this for the longest, but there is no point in fighting Chad Dawson. At this stage, B-hop needs to go for history, or just retire. Beating Dawson does nothing for his legacy IMO, but if he were to beat someone at 190 or possible a David Haye to win a belt at HW (and be the oldest HW champ ever), he would give his legacy a huge boost. I'm not saying it will happen, but I feel he should go big or go home. BTW....If B-hop was gonna fight 2 or more fights, I wouldn't mind one of them being against James Toney. Alot of people would sh!t of that fight, but I would buy it. Toney isn't completely done like Jones and has actually lost only twice (both to a prime Sam Peter) in the last 13 years, while looking great against B and C class HW's. A cruiser/HW fight with Toney or Green isn't a bad idea really. But he has no business in the ring with Haye, and fighting, G. Jones, or Marco Huck is just to much of a risk and not enough reward. But with Dawson, you have a young, legit light HW, recognized as the best in the division, just as big as him, who's P4P material. A win over him is much more feasible and would be better for his legacy than the others I think.

He should go to Philly set up his own gym and train young fighters. I'd have to agree. This, or fight Dawson. And give that Dawson 18 years younger and could be B-Hop's son, that really isn't warranted.
