Bernard Hopkins is my favorite fighter but Roy Jones Jr. in his prime was the greatest talent I've ever seen and one of my idols as well. Jones was the greatest fighter of the 90's. Well said, champ! I think they both should retire. There is no point for Hopkins to go to HW and fight David Haye. Retire on a high personal note, you got your 17 year in the making revenge, that's what you always wanted, retire happy. Jones is way to hesitant and when he faces someone who will rush him(Danny green for example) and put the pressure on him and throw punches in bunches, he could get hurt badly. I have been on the "Roy retire" soapbox for awhile now(since the third Tarver fight). We have witnessed another fight that shouldn't have happened. I really hope he doesn't return just because the fight wasn't a beating. Hopkins should retire too IMO. It is obvious after the last two fights he shouldn't get in with a top young fighter.

Neither wanted to take a risk. One, two punches, then clinch. BH is giving way to much credit to RH thinking the old Jones was still there. He could have let RJ come forward, stand in the middle of the ring, slug it out and still outbox Jones. RJ will never stand toe to toe with his opponent. It's either him throwing punches or him absorbing punches against the ropes. Never an exchange. He is too hesitant. Ever since he got clocked by Tarver and Johnson he has fears.

Hopkins has slowed down big time himself and he should retire as well but Jones.. he didn't even fight. He looks so hesitant when he's about to throw a punch or receive. He looks scared, it's bizarre. Their not doing the sport any favors by continuing to fight especially on PPV. yeah i agree with you 100% on that both of them need to retire, both of them past 40. jones looks hesitant when he throws or he is about to recieve cuz he has a weak jaw and he don't want to get the knockout, and you right 100% that fight not worth ppv it could be showed on hbo regular.

Even Reed is probably shaking his head at Jones.. and that's saying something.

hopkins is a very dirty fighter but he won the fight clearly he landed more clean shots, jones missed the target more, at the end of the day i think roy must retire, he is a legend and if he will continue he will be the spring-board for the prospects, and i dont want to see him like that.
