British fight commentary may be putrid garbage and filth but for my money....

People ened to realise Sky Box Office only has Hatton, Khan and Haye as PPV. Tey need to sell and hype these fighters up because none boxing fans don't know much and they are paying for it. It's gonna be bias because thse guys aren't buying for Ruiz, Valuev etc..

I don't see the need for comparison. If I eat dog shit, do you say it's good because it's not a kick in the balls? tbh I hate nearly all commentators. The only ones I like today are Col Bob Sheridan, the Showtime crew, and the legend that is Steve Holdsworth. I generally agree and find that in most sports I watch I find myself bitching about the announcers. I tend to hate most if not all. I will say that overall I do like the sound and presentation of the HBO crew. Just not when they are pulling stuff like the Kellerman comments or the idiotic Taylor ball chugging.

NOTHING will ever top the shameful commentating by one Jim Lampley in Hopkins vs. Taylor 1. ****ing unbelievable. Taylor hits a shoulder or misses by a foot "HUGE SHOT FOR TAYLLLLOOOOOOOOOOR" Hopkins lands a lead right hand "TAYLOR WITH A BEAUTIFUL JABBBBBB" Even Roy Jones had to correct him a few times near the end. He says "TAYLOR LURES HOPKINS INTO THE CORNER" when it's clear that Hopkins has just hit him in the face and moved him into the corner. His biased crying and screaming was insane. Just listen to him flip out when Hopkins lands the straight huge right in round 10 when Lamps goes "AND TRIES TO HIT TAYLOOOOR BEHHHINNND THE HEAD". So yeah, overall UK commentary is baised, nationalistic and full of shit. But in this one case Lampley lost his ****ing mind for 12 rounds. What about Fat Jamoc vs Rahman I? "And we've got a new heavyweight champion of the world... and he's a GODDAMN FREAKIN' AMERICAN!!!
