Honestly, I look at the guy and I see nothing spectacular. He doesn't interest me in any way as a boxer. The guy is afraid to make contact in a combat sport, he avoids engaging to the point of letting his punches fall short. Then he clinches every second he gets.
Please explain to me the reason for the hype around Dirrell. I honestly can't stand the guy for some reason, he is unappealing but I would like to see why other people like him.
wait he threw 6 times the punches abraham did, but he is afraid to engage.....yeah , youre a ****ing moron TS.....
He may have thrown 6x the punches but 3/4 of those punches wound up short and 1/4 of those punches were followed by clinches.
That is afraid to engage, sorry Hyperion.
I didn't lose respect for Dirrell, **** it, tournament style schedule like that....you gotta take what you can get, Abe ****ed up and hit him and AD saw the opportunity to take a dive...I've seen thousands of people KO'd, never seen the body do that especially coupled with a delayed reaction
He has impressive physical tools that he knows how to use in a way that makes him very hard to defeat. If someone goes in there to look impressive against him chances are they will be made to look a fool and even if you just go to try and beat him he can make you look like a fool.
If you can't see the positive attributes in Dirrell's game then well you are not looking at the whole picture in the ring.
He's already rocked two of the guys in the super six who were favored over him, so that should answer your question.
He beat one of umm.He did not beat Froch in any sense of the word sorry try again.
I wouldn't want to argue with Hitman on this
He got all of you sitting in your chair wettin yourselves
I'm disagreeing with Hitman and look still dry.:afro:
Close rounds in all,, does not mean you can;t get a white wash my man.
They were close, but Firrell hit way more and was much more effective.
I'm not saying I liekd Dirrell holding, but he did what he had to. Froch wasn't exactly good with his rabbit punches
Dirrell countered Froch a lot
Dirrell won most of the close exchanges
Look at Pacal VS Froch, clsoe but Froch won most of the exchanges
Not saying I liked Dirrel in that fight, had it 116-113 for him though
Everyone see's the fight they see.But i don't feel it was a robbery even the broadcast crew which was D riding Dirrell I might add did not even feel it was a robbery they felt it should have been scored closer.Dirrell was running not counter punching my man.Froch was making the fight and catching Dirrell had him bloody.Froch did even look like he was in a fight.
dirrell is a good fighter if he fights froch on a neutral grounding he beats his ass easily
dirrell was very impressive against AA punch perfect
he could go right to the top because he has some fantastic physical tools at is disposition
agree :boxing:
I watch it live when I had that score.I watch it again on youtube and came up with the same score. You just admitted that there were alot of close rd's NO?Well in most of umm I scored it for Froch or a draw.Too much holding not enough action from Dirrell.Funny thing is when ever he started to sit down on his punches and not run like a chicken without a head I gave him the rd.

No, he is not a beast.
What has he ever done to be considered so beastly?
It took him 7 rounds to get rid of an ancient Carl Daniels. Middleweight Andy Lee starched Daniels in 3 rounds.
Green couldn't knock out Rubin Williams who was 100 years old and had been knocked out by Andre Ward, Chris Henry and Eduard Gutneckt.
Green fought like he was asleep against Tarvis Simms, that fight was in no way impressive and certainly didn't show off any of that beastly power you are claiming Green has.
He also shit the bed and fought like a girl against Edison Miranda. Yes, I know, you and Allen both have really good excuses for that.
I guess you can make up anything you want to in your mind. As your have shown here by calling Green "a beast" without any real evidence that supports your assertion.
F.Y.I. good post

Thanks man for responding in a intelligent matter I can respect this post.I think every fighter in the super six is a beast.I feel like Green has a focus problem but when he is focus he is trouble.Green agree with you look bad vs alot of b class fighter's Miranda being one of umm.I just feel like Dirrell did not do anything to impress me either.I stand by what I saw in the Froch Dirrell fight I seen Dirrell did not do enough to win it and in close rd's I have to give it to the guy who is pushing the fight not the guy running.Against AA I was impress Dirrell stood his ground and fought bravely and had good movement. But in the 10th and beginning of the 11th Dirrell had funny leg's and look like he might be on his way out(IMO).I believe Green will be motivated for these fight's and if he ever meet's Dirrell he is athletic enough to make Dirrell pay for going back with his chin right up in the air.

Once again IMO Green is a beast and a problem for anybody in the tournament No?

He is very naturally gifted. Of course he has his faults but who doesn't. He is quick, decent pop and doesn't get hit clean very often, a good boxer. He gets more flack then he deserves methinks, even though his holding does get annoying as shit.
So you scored Froch-Dirrell 115-112 for Froch and you think Allen Green would knock out Andre Dirrell?
I'm just gonna put you on ignore right now and save myself from reading anymore idiotic bullshit.
We can disagree without name calling just use your intelligence to respond(If you know how).Once again IMO Green is a beast and a problem for anybody in the tournament No?Yes I did have that score I don't score runing or clinching or jumping on the floor to stay out of trouble.
Did you watch it on youtube or a repeat?
Froch was the aggressor but he didn;t hit enoguh ro more in each round.
Each round was slightly close at times, but Dirrel tagged him much more.
The shots on the back of Dirrell's head may count to you, then OK the stats show it;s closer, but Dirrell tagged him with ease.

I'll add that Froch was the only one that got hurt in that fight.
Do you know what being hurt is?I've never seen Froch hurt by AD or Taylor.Hurt mean's you on your way out.Froch was buzz but so was Dirrell No?
