No offense to anyone, but i honestly think Hopkins if he wants can finish him in 8 rounds or less. If it goes the distance with Hopkins winning lopsided i think its because he carried him.
If its close then i would go further on saying that Bernard was told to keep this fight close.
Roy hasnt had a clear legitimate win in 7 years (John Ruiz) Meanwhile Bernard has been beating fighters who were on top of their game. There is no reason this should be close.
I'm not convinced Roy will look as bad in this fight as most people think he will. Roy is shot, but he's not fighting a brutal puncher, or even a very aggressive one either.
I think it will be a decision.
Whats up with all the anger and frustration on this forum? It never changes when I come back from a unwarrented ban. People keep pointing fingers claiming someone else doesn't know anything about boxing... We can never get the **** along here...
Ridiculous, some douche attacked me today and I commented his profile saying the same thing he said to me, people shouldn't attack each other about meaningless shit though. But I have a hard time and contribute to it because theirs alot of nasty ppl here, I guess its best to avoid them. Thats why I usually put them on ignore. Because they can't accept someone else has a different opinion then them.
Fcuk Naw...i think Hopkins is gonna go for the KO, three fold
1. He's fighting in Philly
2. This is a grudge match for Hopkins
3. He's a savy business man, so i think he's gonna give the fans a good fight which includes the KO
Because they're in the "executive division" (old fighters) i don't think the action will pick up until after the 5th round. Then Hopkins is gonna steam roll right on over his dumb ass.
Didn't RJJ get kncked in the 3rd or the 4th against Green?
Theres also a 60-40 incentive in the contract whoever wins by KO.
And it was the first.
some red K for you!
coming from u thats a compliment, u clearly dont know shit about boxing. nothing wrong with being new to the sport though, hopefully u will learn something once hopkins destroyed roy. its just common sense he will.
BHOP is not a knockout artist. BHOP by brutal decision, I'd actually be quite shocked if he KO'd Roy...
Hopkins cant knock him out. This fight is going the distance no matter what. Just because a cruiserweight stopped Roy recently doesent mean a 45 year old BHOP can.
hopkins hits harder than glen johnson who knocked roy out cold. he isnt a one punch KO artist but roys punch resistance is so bad these days he doesnt have to be.
hopkins is far from featherfisted, look at his last couple of fights. he wobbled pavlik, dropped calzaghe and had him hurt on several occassions, dropped tarver.. it wasnt a big KD but he stunned him, if he landed that same punch on roy it would be lights out.
he doesnt get KOs cuz hes so careful but in this fight hes a few levels above roy and will be able to go in for the kill without making a risk. he punishes roy for a while then knocks him out when he feels like it, 6-7 rounds is my guess.
i honestly been having this feeling that roy is going to win this fight....
i don't know who to bet for yet.
then u dont know shit about boxing. only way roy wins is if hopkins hurts his ankle or something and is unable to continue.
lol, you might be right. He is smart though, it'll look like a more legit win for 'nard if he carries him.
No, it won't. Roy got KO'ed in the first round his last fight. No getting around that.
if hopkins doesn't brutally destroy RJJ, it will be a disgrace and hurt Bhop when he decides to fight the winner of Haye/Ruiz.
people are gonna say: "he can't even KTFO a shot RJJ, what business does he have fighting the winner of Haye/Ruiz".
if he KO's him early, the flipside is, people are going to say the fight was a farce etc and didn't mean anything. I reckon a late KO might be best for B-Hop looking to the future.

yea. i don't look for an early KO, but i expect b-hop to whoop on roy, the way calzaghe did, and then KO him late in the fight. i think after this, roy decides to hang 'em up, which would be good.
Hopkins isn't that nice of a guy. Especially not to Roy.

I agree with if its close bhop keeps it close. But then again, if it is close and competitive. Jones will be showboating, you know he will, and then BANG Hopkins lands an overhand right. In any round he wants.
