CARL FROCH is looking forward to piling the misery on Arthur Abraham after taking care of Mikkel Kessler.
The Cobra puts his WBC title on the line against Kessler in his second Super Six outing on April 24 in Denmark.
Kessler, still reeling from dropping his WBA crown to Andre Ward, knows another defeat in the super-middlweight tournament will leave him staring into the abyss.
And Froch is confident he will end the Dane's hopes of reaching the semi-finals before taking care of Abraham, who lost his unbeaten record to Andre Dirrell on Saturday night.
The Nottingham puncher said: "I've got another headline fight against Abraham straight after Kessler, so I've got the makings of becoming massive.
"And that's exactly what I want — I want the recognition.
"I fancy doing a number on King Arthur quite easily. No disrespect to him as he's tough, strong and can bang a bit, but he's quite a small man.
"He's a middleweight who's stepped up and as far as I'm concerned he's not really a boxer — he's a fighter and a brawler.
"I've always coped with fighters and brawlers quite easily, so I think I'll knock him out."
Froch expects Kessler to come out with all guns blazing when they collide in Herning next month.
But he believes the Viking Warrior is past his best following his unexpected loss to Ward last November.
The undefeated 32-year-old added: "If he loses, Kessler will still go to his final group stage fight in the Super Six, but he's pretty much in the last chance saloon.
"He's fighting for a world title and has been given a gift horse really, so I think he's going to take the bull by the horns and give it a really, really good go.
"He'll be trying to take the title off me, so it's my job to make sure he doesn't. I'm expecting him to bring his A-game and be quite ferocious.
"But I'll do what I have to do to win. If that means outboxing and sticking my jab in his face, I will do.
"If it means standing in front of him and going toe to toe in a real battle, as everyone knows I can, I will.
"Ideally, I want a fight, I don't want to get hit. I want to keep low and use my boxing skills.
"But if it comes to it later on in the fight, I'll stand in front of him and trade blow for blow."
Froch already has two points on the board following his split decision over Dirrell in October.
The Cobra endured a frustrating night against the American but is determined to silence his remaining critics by knocking out Kessler.
He said: "Regardless of how it goes, I'm going to get the win. I'll be looking for the stoppage because I want the bonus point.
"As far as I'm concerned, three points will secure my place in the semi-finals of the Super Six - and that's very, very important to me.
"I'd like to get Kessler out of there, so I'm predicting a late stoppage."

At first everyone had Kessler winning the tournament but after Ward dismantled him, people are saying he is washed up. You should remember that Dirrell dismantled Froch, regardless of what the judges said, Dirrell outboxed Froch easily.
Kessler is a better boxer than Froch. Actually everyone in the tournament is a better boxer than Froch so he has to be the least likely to win. Kessler has a good chance of beating him and AA has a better chance of beating him.
that statement will be hard to prove after Froch is the points leader by the end of stage 2.....:cool2:
Froch is like Alexander and Bradley, he wants to fight every one in the division; ducking no one.
I actually agree. Abraham's smaller than Froch, he's a brawler. Froch is extremely physically strong, he was stronger than Pascal who was a huge super-MW and is now a formidable world champion at 175. Abraham's tactic are perfect, you can't really just walk to Froch. And if Dirrell can drop and hurt AA, Froch will Mack truck him
If.....and it's a big if.....Froch beats Kessler and Abraham, will you folk finally give the man credit?
I know it isn't the strongest possibility, but Froch gets overlooked fight after fight, and yet gets shitted on, simply because of his style. Yet, that same style has caused problems to every opponent he has faced, including Dirrell, who by the way i had beating Froch by 2 rounds....yet there's no denying that Dirrell fought cowardly.
Carl is the underdog against both Kessler and Abraham, 99% of posters think at least one of those men will beat him, so if Froch proves everybody wrong, does he go up in everyone's book? Possibly p4p ranking too? I think so.
How did you come to that conclusion, i gave From 3/4 rounds and put a note next to each one (kind) as he was clearly getting hit with the cleaner punches over the whole fight and not landing hardly anything in open play, Froch only seemed to land rabbit punches inside.
Froch got one round on my card (kind) because he threw Dirrell out of his rhythm and because i felt sorry that he had not won hardly a round, not to say he particularly landing anything in the round.
I don't like Arthur, but I hope he knocks Froch the **** out.
If Kessler isn't as shot as he has looked lately he will win a decision, no doubt about it.
So if froch wins that automactically mean kessler is shot and had no chance anyway,Yer what ever idiot.
Kessler is still a force he is fit young and still hungry I expect a war in two weeks.

You truly are a Carl Froch nut hugger. Dirrell won that fight.
Dirrel might of done it in the most coward way, but he won. Personally if I controlled boxing, and the judges gave Dirrell the fight, I probably would of taken it away from Dirrell and gave the win straight to Froch. But hey, doesnt defeat the fact that Dirrell still won and your boy Froch got a gift.
But Dirrell's nose was bloody! We all know a fighter's face determines who wins the fight!
If you think that dirrell running away and falling over and getting a bloody face after 4 rounds is outboxing carl, then you clearly know nothing about boxing...

Froch does have a decent jab when he uses it, not that he has good timing with it but i think because he has a decent reach. Froch should be looking to use the jab to back Kessler to the ropes then put it on him because Froch himself is less likely to get nailed that way, plus Kessler is not such a good puncher when going backwards imo, however if Froch fights Kessler from centre ring he will get knocked out imo, Froch throws wide punches, is slow, and leaves his chin out to dry, Kessler is a straighter puncher with power in the right hand.

Did you see Pacquiao's face compared to Clottey's face? Clottey clearly won didn't he?
If Taylor and Dirrell going backwards could outbox Froch, i think Kessler will.

Oh dear Carl, counting your chickens huh?
I do like him but he talks way too much smack, plus he's now doing it to probably the p4p the biggest puncher today.
However if he is to beat both Kessler and AA I for one would be speechless and I am one of those who thinks he is underrated.
Tbh he'll be lucky enough if AA doesn't KO him and make his lady AA's Queen.
You gotta love the silky smooth skills of the cobra.
He's not silky smooth, he just has a good, strong, piercing jab. He does have a somewhat warped view of his own ability though. However, that won't harm him against Kessler. I don't believe Kessler has the footwork or the speed to escape the relentless onslaught of the Cobra for 12 rounds. His defence is going to have to be top notch or he could really struggle with the power and angles of Froch's punches going into the late stages. The same is true of opposite. Froch will also have to be tight and not rush in, or Kessler's power could test his admittedly solid chin.
Great match up though.
