UN-SELL OUT?
Word is that there are a lot (and by a lot, just about every single one) of tickets are available for Bernard Hopkins-Roy Jones II. With a lot of boxing going on this weekend in Las Vegas, from a “ShoBox” telecast at the Hard Rock Hotel being staged by Golden Boy to a card at the Rio Hotel being put on by TKO Boxing Promotions, Hopkins-Jones II could be the most high-profile walk-out bout in the history of boxing. http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-lead/the-latin-snake-returns
Seriously why would anyone pay good money for this fight?
Both are old. Jones just got KO'd in 1 round in December. Hopkins isn't the most crowd pleasing fighter.
Since Jones lost to Green, the fight should have been dropped.
I really hope they don't sell that many tickets and I hope no one is stupid enough to buy the PPV.
Well roy jones is a bum and any knowledgeable boxing fan knows this is not a good fight. Dont get me worng its great for diehard hop fans who want to see hop smash jones.

it hasnt sold any tickets??
You know, I was just finished watching that press conference with all the Super Six promoters that BPP posted and one of the media members said that only 800 tickets were sold....
That was actually BScene's very own Rick Reeno who said that during the promoter's meeting....:fest30:
Hopkins should have just taken the Bute fight. They could have sold 30k seats at Olympic Stadium in Montreal and have a nice guarantee from HBO.
Hopkins must of thought that he could really convince people to buy this, it doesn't even seem like the rest of Golden boy is convinced. Very poor job at promoting it even if it is a farce, they should have done way more interviews and promotion...that's the only fun part of this fight.
Also read in a recent article by Thomas Hauser that Jones (who's square ring is the co-promoter) might end up losing money.
Sounds like a really lame friend; he knows fuk all about boxing and then only orders once he's got his moneys worth.
Yeah lol well he dont jack shit about boxing, he would probably order it even if he didnt get his money for it, but if someone shows and theres only 4 or 5 people there and everyone has tossed in 5, than hes gonna expect 5 bucks lol... He dont ask for any more than that. But yeah Im going to go there for sure because I know some real sexy women that are gonna be there and one asked me if I was going to be there and regardless of how shitty the fight is I will be there because i need to hit it lol... But I look forward to it atleast being someone entertaining, and I expect A SLUGFEST for the first 3 rounds, unless someone gets caught before that... after 3 rounds I think Hopkins can play with Roy and drop him any time he feels... Glad I wont be paying 5 dollars haha
Every hardcore fan knows this fight is worthless. I'm quite surprised that Joe Average thinks so as well as I would have thought the names would be a good draw although this rematch comes 10-15 years to late.
They shouldn't have made this match in the first place.
Of course it aint selling!!! This fight is garbage!!!! Seriously i respect everything that roy jones and hopkins have accomplished in their careers but at this point putting these 2 in the ring, it just doesn't do anything for the sport. in fact fights like these hurt the sport because its just 2 fighters on their way out but still trying to screw people out of money (PPV) and time. If anything Roy should have retired a long while ago instead of embarassing himself with recent performances of a man thats been shot for years now. And Hopkins who still has something left should be fighting Dawson! Giving him a chance to put himself really over with the fans for beating a legend of the sport!!! But no instead we get this shit and it really pisses me off!!!
If you find one-sided beat downs boring, it will be boring. RJ might put up a bit of a fight for a few rounds, but he's gonna end up lookin helpless.
I'm gonna bet on the under though, so I'll be excited pulling for the knockout.
I'm not sure how much of a beat-down it will be.
Whatever the case may be, shithouse fight.
Can't say I'm shocked.
The fight is bullshit.
The first fight was boring.
This one will most likely be worse.
I'm not surprised noone wants to see it.

this fight should be in the boardwalk hall. these promoters r all retarted nd evry damn fight is in vegas.. i read this article where it ses promoters lack that vision.. atleast don king had it
As long as they're paying for this PPV crapfest then enjoy.
Haha well the dude usually has a bunch of people over for all the UFC events and big boxing events, but he dont order many boxing events because he's only concerned with known fighters (Pac, Mayweather, Jones, Klitschko, ect.), so I usually end up ordering the ones I think are worth it, and watch it with a few guys from my gym and some buddies... But he just charges everyone five bucks until he gets his money for the ppv, and then usually just dont invite anyone else, but ill just show up once everyones paid and already there like I usually do for the UFC events, so I can just watch for free... I wish I would have done the same for the Pac-Clottey fight, definitely not worth my five dollars... Pac-Cotto was damn worth it, and so was Mayweather-Marquez...
A lotta casual fans don't even know Roy got KO'd against Danny Green in another country...they all know Roy has done little since Tarver knocked him out...
I asked one buddy of mine (a casual boxing, hardcore MMA fan) who would win at 175, Chad Dawson or Roy Jones Jr... He went on for ten minutes telling me what a dumb question it was, that Roy Jones is a legend and will knock anybody in his division out, and beat anyone... When he was done, I asked him if it was 2003.... lmfao, I told him he got KO'd in round 1 to Danny Green, he did not believe me and went and checked on a computer and just shut up.... Yeah, casual fans dont know jack, theyll buy this fight because it's Roy Jones and they want to seem cool in order to get people to hang with them...
